  1. Just like real life man! HaHa! Good start on the build! Ernest
  2. That is some top shelf scratchbuilding Tim! I think the Tamiya cockpit is quite good and you have taken it to another level. I am currently building an Eduard Bf109 "Condor Legion" aircraft. The Qunita set for that kit is also off in color, the RLM 02 being a noticably lighter shade. Ernest
  3. Very sad news indeed. Blue skies to you Rowan. My sincere condolences to his spouse. Ernest
  4. Very eye catching camo scheme Thomas that was expertly sprayed by you. Ernest
  5. Masking must have been a very time consuming task, but the end result is excellent! Ernest
  6. Looking forward to following this build Mike as I have this kit in the stash {early version}. I am interested to see what you do with the build. Ernest
  7. Nice progress! I almost always use masks to cover my canopies and they have become almost a must for my builds. Ernest
  8. The cockpit and landing gear look very well done! Ernest
  9. Hi Mike, thank you for the comprehensive answer. My experience with the metal and resin turnbuckles are the same as yours. The GP resin turnbuckles look very nice but broke too easily. I have some really good quality mini drill bits and can drill out the eyelets of the metal turnbuckles that need it. Tedious, but the end result is nice. I will order some Proper Plane resin turnbuckles next time I order from him. Thank you again for the great information! Ernest
  10. Superb work Koralik! The painting is wonderful. Ernest
  11. Brilliant work Mike! How do you like the Proper Plane resin turnbuckles? I tried the Gaspatch ones, but found them to be too fragile so I always use the metal ones. Ernest
  12. Brilliant work John! The landing gear is excellent and the wheel wells are real works of art. I hear you on fixing wing to fuselage and other joins. Correcting issues with wing to fuselage joins is probably my least favorite modelling activity. Ernest
  13. Just caught up with your build Dennis. You are doing a bang up job on the always challenging to build PCM kits. I think you have executed some very clever solutions to some of the fit issues. This will be beautiful when you are finished with it. Ernest
  14. Very slick bit of scratchbuilding Dave! The cowling support struts look perfect! Ernest
  15. Beautiful works of art! Excellent job painting the different metallic shades. Ernest
  16. Good to see you are getting some bench time in man! Ernest
  17. How very sad, she was always a positive force here. I hope whatever she is dealing with right now gets resolved in a positive manner. Ernest
  18. Very impressive build, and an interesting choice for both the color scheme and markings! I like how you painted the base as well. Ernest
  19. Top shelf craftsmanship! Your overall and detail painting is excellent and your weathering effects are exceptionally well done. Bravo!! Ernest
  20. The weathering looks especially nice Mike! Ernest
  21. You did a wonderful job airbrushing the metallic paint Lukasz, very smooth! Ernest
  22. That painting technique looks pretty cool Jeroen! Ernest
  23. Nice progress Dave! It will be interesting to follow your scratchbuilding of the support for the cowling. Ernest
