I'm nearing the end of the painting portion of a Trumpeter A-4 build and I'm trying to figure out how exactly to deal with the insignia (hi vis) on the top wing and all the vortex generators right in line where the star and bars go. Has anyone successfully decaled over them? or is it best to do some decal surgery? Thoughts welcome. Thanks, Peter

Wonder if the blown canopy for the -M is planned too...?

Check with Steel Beach, I know they have a 1/48 set of masks, they might have a 1/32 set as well. -
Hi Kev, Would you be able to take a side profile pic of the 3 nose clear pieces (in the same pic for length comparison)? Thanks, Peter

There was also a set done for SB2C Helldivers that had the dive brakes.

There is a new IP with the Razorback kit but I'm not sure if its a new tool from Kinetic when they reissued the Bubbletop or if it's new to the new kit. The IP on the top of the photo is a 3 part piece (dials are on another part not in the photo) and have the dials sandwiched in between the front rear parts. Also note the detail at the bottom of the IP. These parts are on the same sprue as the cowl parts and the ammo troughs. The bottom IP is a single part and is what is called out for in the Razorback instructions and is on the same sprue as the intercooler doors. The forced perspective makes it look like there is a width difference but there really isn't one. Less than a mm if anything.

The rep at the nationals said around Christmas time from what I remember. I asked about seperate elevators too but he was unsure at that point in time.

I tried something different working on a C-2 Greyhound, using the biodegradeable paper BBs. You only need a small smear of CA and they will roll and stick into all the areas underneath pits and inbetween wheel wells and fuselage sides. -
I'm more curious where the critcisms were when the CAD or test shots were out.

I'd say technically that's not in his garage...

I was playing around with the vac canopy and the Trumpeter kit a few weeks ago. I was measuring the width of the opening in the kit vs the bottom edge of the canopy and the width's aren't far off at all. The problem lies in trying to trim the bottom edge of the windscreen to fit the Trumpeter kit...(disclaimer, it might just be me trying to trim vacuform part to fit anything). The biggest detractor for me is just the bulbous nature of the kit windscreen. I honestly thing that if the edges were straight on the rear edge an front glass plate, regardless of the width the look would improve significantly.

Would have been nice, blending the vac windscreen to the fuselage hasn't been much fun. Some nice metal landing gear would be nice to but alas...

Has anyone heard from Raymond to confirm?

Hard to do that when the VFS kit predates the Trumpeter one -
AFV 1/32 F16B Block 20 Vs AFV 1/32 Scale RSAF F-16D Block 52

I've seen the KF-16D kit on a certain auction site for just over $100 usd shipped...only thing holding me up is I'd like to do a 425th RSAF bird with just the spine but nobody seems to make any decals. -
Likewise, makes you wonder what they patch holes in drywall with...speckle?
