  1. I was playing around with the vac canopy and the Trumpeter kit a few weeks ago. I was measuring the width of the opening in the kit vs the bottom edge of the canopy and the width's aren't far off at all. The problem lies in trying to trim the bottom edge of the windscreen to fit the Trumpeter kit...(disclaimer, it might just be me trying to trim vacuform part to fit anything). The biggest detractor for me is just the bulbous nature of the kit windscreen. I honestly thing that if the edges were straight on the rear edge an front glass plate, regardless of the width the look would improve significantly.
  2. It doesn't look like the rounds are sold as a stand alone set...too bad
  3. December is fine Jennings, it's January and Febuary that you have to worry about
  4. My order arrived yesterday...actually quicker than I thought.
  5. Would have been nice, blending the vac windscreen to the fuselage hasn't been much fun. Some nice metal landing gear would be nice to but alas...
  6. Has anyone heard from Raymond to confirm?
  7. Shush, don't ruin the market by saying it aloud
  8. Hard to do that when the VFS kit predates the Trumpeter one
  9. I've seen the KF-16D kit on a certain auction site for just over $100 usd shipped...only thing holding me up is I'd like to do a 425th RSAF bird with just the spine but nobody seems to make any decals.
  10. Likewise, makes you wonder what they patch holes in drywall with...speckle?
  11. Was it just the rear (for lack of a better term) "reinforcment band" structure of the top center cowl piece? My goal would be to have one side and the top all buttoned up but have the 2 cowl parts above and below the exhaust stacks removed showing the side and some of the top of the engine.
  12. Helldiver, Val, Seiran, 0-2 Skymaster, F4U-5...
  13. At least the top one I'm hoping, that can at least preserver a semblance of the finished lines of a buttoned up aircraft.
  14. Essentially the whole fuselage and cabin area. The SH models don't have the gunner stations ahead of the cargo doors, there is only one cargo door on the starboard side (smaller than the UH/MH), equipment and layout of the cabin is different...then there are lots of exterior lumps and bumps for the different Navy roles. The rotor head is different allowing for the rotor blades to fold. The HH version has more changes too, while the starboard side is similar to the SH, the port side has a completely different window arrangement along the cabin side with 2 sliding windows.
  15. hopefully the decal manufacturers will come through for this one, lots of colorful cag birds.
  16. it seemed most of the warping in the review was related to the cannon barrels. while concerning, they will be trapped between the fairing parts that would hide most of the barrel.
  17. and he's giving you the finger when going over the instructions... did he throw in a dig there on James May when talking about the pilot?
  18. Just saw this on Luckymodel: http://www.luckymodel.com/scale.aspx?item_no=AF%20C32004 Anybody happen to know if its a corrected canopy or just the original coated? Thanks, Peter
  19. Jerry, Internet Hobbies has a presale at $114 or something like that for the kit, I preordered one at that price.
  20. Just received a set of the belted seats today from Sprue. These look outstanding Harold, fantastic work. Thank you for providing these for us.
