Hi! I visited SMW 2019 at Telford last weekend. I showed my Boeing in the contest. Model received special price, Jan Maes Trophy for the best biplane. Unfortunatly an unpleasant surprise came to me from the judges superdetailed class disqualifying my model. They claimed that it was diorama, not superdetailed model. Sad and terrifying in all this was that, despite the differing opinions of other judges, they did not change their mind. Meeting Guys from LSP who I only knew from nicknames was a great pleasure. Hi All! Congratulation for you Marcin, this is superb model. Silver plane - silver medal, but for me Condor is more silver, P 11 should get gold. The judges underestimated the fact that it is a complete scratch. Regards Tomasz

Hi Peter! Will you have to mask the wings with tape? If so, first I would try a new primer on a piece of aluminum foil, stick masking tape and check if the primer does not break away from the surface, and only then I would paint wings. I had this problem with my Boeing, so I used metal primer first, I can't remember Gunze or Tamiya, then primer and final paint. Will Alclads not react with this new primer? I heard that they can with some. Good luck, nice work. Tomasz

Hi! Thank you for so many kind comments. I realize that this project is slightly different from the others but I'm glad that it attracted so many observers. Perhaps an opportunity to meet at some modeling competition will be available. I started new project, first total scratch, but I can say only it will be Polish on this moment. I marked only likes in your threads so far, but now I have to express my admiration for the wonderful work you do, and this does not apply to your highest level of quality of the model, because it is obvious, but the content you give us. I treat you thread like a very good lecture and each new update is like new chapter in very good book. Your story is so addictive that readers not only express their admiration for skills, but engage and send a lot of interesting information. This should be the most important role of the forum, information exchange. Thanks to people like you, this role is fulfilling. Thank you for sharing your knowlegde, tips, technics. Hi ! I never expected that this project can take me eight years. I thought about three or four years. Of course I had breakes, holidays etc., but it was about 2500 hours of work. As base I used old Hasegawa kit, but it was only excuse to start this project, the rest is scratchbuilding. My friend, Andrzej Ziober persuaded me to show this model so strongly opened. He is precursor of cutting all structure of fuselage from kit’s moldings. First step And the final Here is the link to WIP My Boeing made the first flight to Madrid on IX model contest organized by IPMS Madrid and asociation model34. It was very interesting event, very good organised with many models on high level. Boeing received three prices, thank you Jury Oro in it’s class, Best aircraft, and Special Price from IPMS Portugal for the best model of the contest. This third is especially beautifull, special thanks for members of IPMS Portugal. So now, I need to think about new project. Thank you All for watching, support and kind words. The time has come. My Boeing is finished after 8 years and about 2500 hours of work. She is worth these efforts. It was most difficult and stresful project in my modeller's career, and the longest one of course. I'd like to thank you all for support, kind words, likes. This is the result. Hi Next part. You can see the progress of the project, especially bomb bay. Andrzej will show method of making many holes in parts like ribbs which must look identically. Nice watching Tomasz
