Telepatu
For this group build I selected the old Revell F4F-4 in Royal Navy colors, pretty much out of the box. Kit decals are for "That Old Thing", which I'm planning to build. I have some other projects on the table now, so the build will start later next year. Alain Gadbois
Very curious about how this old kit holds up when assembled and painted! Alain Telepatu

Alain I builds into a nice model, I did one for 'In the Navy' Group Build, it's in the gallery if you want to check it out. Checked out your build, looks really impressive for such a basic kit! The surface details make all the difference. Phantom2
Nice kit, I built that almost 50 years ago! I do have really fond memories of this kit, but the wingfold mechanism worked only 2-3 times before it broke! Will follow your build! Sabre F-86
Thanks for pointing out this kit. I just picked up a Trumpeter kit, and while I think Joe Foss was indeed a hero, the paint scheme is BOOOOORING. (First heard of him in a book I got as a kid, called Wings of Fame). I just picked up the Valiant book on the Wildcat, and the Martlet appeals. Won't say I'm in on this build, too many things on the go, but I may get in later. Erwin
I also have this planned as a possible build in the GB. Best is to build it with straight wings. Telepatu

MikeMaben
It has folding wings , doesn't it ?

Not strong enough to hold the weight. And they will fail when folding them several times. There's a build here on LSP...
