Some cockpit detail shots of Bf-109 G-6, W.Nr 165277

Recommended Posts

I was able to briefly sit in the cockpit of MT-452, finnish air force original Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-6. It was kind of a ex-tempore situation so pics are took in bit of hurry meaning they are not best possible quality but some of you might find them interesting anyway. Click the pic for higher resolution. So here we go. First some exterior shots:

Some really great shots. Photos from cockpit along top of cowl are views I've never seen before.  Do you happen to have any close-ups of the cowling fasteners?

 Thanks, no triple thanks!

Cheers,

Damian

Unfortunately no better than these ones (from MT-507). I'll take some when i visit her next time (less than hour away from where i live).

Thanks for posting. Three things from the photos are interesting to me. The seat and rear bulkhead appears to be painted in RLM02 and rivets are only visible in the really close up shots.

I do not know if the cockpit has been repainted as the supposed yellow fuel line appears to be cockpit colour and not uniform in thickness.

Yes, should have noted that cockpit is repainted long ago with incorrect colors. Only gauge panel and some other parts like Cannon cover are in correct rlm66 shade, as far as i know they are adding missing parts and correctings things slowly and those are finished lately.
