1:32 F-4C Panel Decals

Recommended Posts

All of the Sprue Brothers decal sets include the AOA 32-031 panel set which is what I already have.

I’m still looking for the Procal set but it looks like they’re only on Facebook which I don’t use. I’m hoping to find a web site for them otherwise I will see if I can contact them via email if I can find an email address for them.

Thank you both,

John

Speed Hunter Graphics does the USAF F-4 stencil/panel markings in 1/32, both early and late.

The AOA ones are USN/USMC, it is for reworked airframes starting mid 60s-ish into early 70s (painted stencil).

Zotz made the original McD factory type.

Here are the SHG USAF ones:

Hi John,

You mention F-4C Vietnam era markings.

Speed Hunter Graphics' "Early Phantom Stencils" is excellent, but it's mostly applicable to post Vietnam War era Phantoms (circa 1973 to 1979), as characterized by the contrasting black and white data.

With a small number of late war exceptions, USAF Phantoms that operated in Southeast Asia had all black data topside and gray FS16307 data on the belly. Fundekals' forthcoming "Operation Bolo" decal sheet will have this style data and panel numbers including, it appears, wing pylon markings. See discussion about this here.

IsraDecal sheet IAF-39, although intended for the F-4E, is another alternative...if you can find it. It has the appropriate black (top) and gray (bottom) markings, including panel numbers. Like the SHG and AOA sheets, it is comprehensive with excellent production quality.

Here are some pictures from my set...

The Speed Hunter Graphics stencils are in stock and ready to ship tomorrow.

As mentioned, though, they are mostly for post-Vietnam jets.  Vietnam jets' stencils were mainly in black and in a different font than post-war.

From the  look of it they might be applicable to RAF Grey Phantoms??

Hmmm.  I really don't know, Anthony.  I'd be afraid to even venture a guess.  I just have no idea.
