A-10LOADER
Nice work Ben, even for a bug. Steve Starfighter
LSP_K2
Looks totally cool. I love the Super Hornet and hear them flying out of the St. Louis airport quite frequently. Starfighter

Redcrown
Awesome job! What modifications did you do to the Academy cockpit to use it in your build? Starfighter
Starfighter
Thank you! There aren't many modifications to do if you're building an early lot Super Hornet: I have replaced the Legacy fuel gauge on the front IP with the new digital one from the Trumpeter cockpit and slightly modified the side consoles. The turtle deck behind the seat is different of course; you can either use the Trumpeter part or use the (very nice!) replacement from Eduard. dodgem37
Dog! I am all over that. Fantastic work, Ben. Sincerely, Mark

Ryan
How did you address the seam in the mesh under the nose?

I filled the "mesh" and replaced it with a decal I have drawn myself. It's not a classic mesh by the way but many small holes on the real a/c. bushande
Ben, this is a superb rendition of the original. I love the delicate weathering and exquisite painting. An absolutely gorgeous model but I wouldn't have anything less from you. Can I ask what kind of wash you used to emphasize the panel lines? Thankfully it doesn't look so grossly overpronounced as you can see sadly far too often on many models. Starfighter
Starfighter
Thanks Alex, I'm glad you like it! The wash is a simple mix of warm grey oil paint an white spirit; for moving parts such as the airbrakes, I added a bit of black to obtain slightly darker groove lines. bushande
bushande
Thanks for the advice. Will definitely try that out! Once again, awesome rendition, I'm full of envy ... for the model and the talent! Starfighter
Marcel111
Wowzer this is superb, surely the best Super I have seen. I also found the kit to be a challenge but didn’t take it quite as far as you did. I like the weathered line jet gray, will be doing the same for my E. Cheers, Marcel Starfighter
