Yep, still plugging away, Maru, though not too much in the last couple of weeks. To that end, I was preparing to order the relevant paints for the air-frame tomorrow, but decided to check my "inventory" first. Good thing I did too, as this entire bag is nothing but Luftwaffe colors; mostly Model Master, but also some old Floquil; and Aeromaster paints as well, so I'm covered now. LSP_K2
In an effort to see if I could close up the fuselage before adding the IP, I taped the fuselage halves together to check. IP will most definitely not be able to be added "after the fact", so I've moved on to the IP itself. I'm hoping to have the fuselage all zipped up in a week or so, but I guess we'll see about that. LSP_K2
Here the IP has now had some paint slopped on and is awaiting clear coat and Airscale decals. Admittedly not the best bit of painting, but I think I can live with it. R Palimaka, LSP_Kevin, Alain Gadbois and 2 others
LSP_K2
I figured this was a good time to check the rear cowl fit, and sure enough there are some serious fit issues. Here the gun tray is set temporarily in place. A little grinding here and there of the cowl interior and guns, makes for an almost perfect fit. Biggles87, D.B. The Dude
Looking good! Make sure you glue the engine in the fuselage before you glue in the gun cover, otherwise it will be a PITA to get the engine mounts into the firewall. LSP_K2

Alain Do you have a link to your completed model? I'd really like to see it. 15 hours ago, The Dude said: Looking good! Fitting the four bearer contacts, will absolutely be done before I add that real cowling piece, as it would be near impossible otherwise. Thanks for the reminder though, I appreciate it. LSP_K2
New Airscale instruments for this effort (1:48 scale).
LSP_K2
A somewhat darkish wash of RLM 02 now added to the interior components. After adding instruments to the IP, I'll be ready to zip up the fuselage. Biggles87, Gazzas, Alain Gadbois and 3 others
LSP_K2
The box stock seat with P.E. belts is terrible, at least as far as I'm concerned, so I received a replacement seat today. Perhaps not technically 100% correct, but it's perfectly OK with me, and will dress up the 'pit rather nicely, I think. Martinnfb and D.B. G-Man
Can this be built without the engine? I have 2 in my stash. Martinnfb

This will be a mostly OOB effort, hopefully to be completed before a local show here in September. Necessity forced me to order replacement wheel well inserts, as those in the kit were warped and very, very brittle. Here are the replacements, already installed. I had the same issue with my inserts, where did you find new ones? Martinnfb

LSP_K2
Replacement seat, now with pouring block ground off and cleaned for a primer coat, sits a bit high, but I think I can live with it. Gazzas, LSP_Kevin and Martinnfb
