kensar
I got inspired to build this after seeing one rotting away in a neighbor's front yarn (this is North Carolina). Took this pic before the kudzu claims it. So I found this kit. What a box of horrors. After a lot if work and scratchbuilding... The bed has strips of walnut veneer in it. So, I guess it turned out okay. Edited September 3, 2018 by kensar update Javlin1, BiggTim, D.B. Andrus and 5 others
LSP_K2
I'd say that it turned out just excellent. I've already started my '30 Ford touring car, and I hope it turns out as nice as this model of yours did. BiggTim

kensar
It has a Ford V8 with Ardun heads. BiggTim
ScottsGT
Just did some reading on those Ardun heads last week. Saw a 1/18 engine offered like this. Hard to believe those heads are bringing $25,000+ at auction. I understand the retro thing, but damn! Model looks great. BiggTim

chrish
I street raced (yes I know that’s bad but I was young and it was a long time ago) a guy in a 48 or 49 ford pickup with my Plymouth road runner (440 6 pack car) and expected to leave him behind immediately if not sooner, at 160 mph I looked in the rear view, nowhere to be seen shoulder checked expecting him off my rear quarter... he was right beside me! After the race (I did finally get the better of him) we did a comparison of power plants. He thought he’d beat me easy because he knew mine was a 400 CID car (I’d recently upgraded it to the 440-6) and I thought I’d beat him easy, not knowing he’d put a turbocharged 400 CID engine and transmission from a firebird in his truck. Seeing this model brings back memories of some great times in my lost youth
