phasephantomphixer
So my two kits arrived (Yay!) but how can I tell if they have the original or revised clear? THX Rick Griewski
Out2gtcha
You should be able to put some text/print under the canopy and see it visibly distorted. LSP_K2
MikeMaben
There R no revised canopies. Just cross your fingers and hope you get a decent one. modelingbob

Mike, would you like me to merge your new account with your old one? No point having two, and you may as well get all your old posts back! I did this for both - severe distortion at each upper side of main canopy.

Now confused, wasn't there a thread announcing Revell has issued corrected canopies?
Chek
They weren't new mould clear parts, just correctly moulded original ones. To me it looks as if the faulty ones, of which there are many, have cooled and distorted due to being ejected from the IM machine too quickly. But some people seem to have been lucky and received un-distorted, correctly moulded ones. If you check out Quang's build in Works in Progress, he applies a modelmaker's solution to the problem. Or Tamiya parts are apparently more reliable.

Rick Griewski
My 2 wind screens were good but not the canopies. I bought 2 Tamiya canopies off of eBay before I found out that some folks had good fortune of sourcing them directly from Tamiya in the States.
