Koralik
The 1:48 Scale and F-22The model comes from Hasegawa, When I build this model I tried to show the specific appearance of the HG coating.Depending on the angle of view, we have the impression that the gray color becomes metallic. For start, a few photos showing the effect depending on the angle of view. The effect is visible when viewed from the front and left or right side of the model. When we look from the back - the metallic effect isn't visible. At the end a few photos of the model. Koralik
Thank you all for warm words. The HG coating effect is the use of Car Refinisches products PPG T490 TC (TS it's a Tone Controler Generaly is transparent base coat) + Liquid metal color PPG T4700. Mixing ratio TC: color - 100:20 I don't use modeling chemistry and paints in general, that's why my descriptions of techniques are difficult to use. The Madhatter
That's quite the effect there. Very nicely done. I know you have told us the product you used to obtain this finish but could you tell us how you applied it? Is it sprayed? Rubbed? Thank you as its an effect I'm sure a few people, I dare say, here would like to achieve as well
