LSP_K2
Thanks, Mark, I appreciate that, especially from you.
LSP_K2
With some primer now spritzed on, it all looks much better. The primer serves a couple of purposes, making it a lot easier to accurately see the fitment of the engine cowls (very important, as my K-4 had some "issues" in this area), as well as making it much easier to see the pin marks that need to be removed from the 'pit area. LSP_K2
Plugging right along, all of the pin marks now removed from the starboard side, and most of the kit provided components have been added. I'll also be adding additional wiring and such to this area. sandokan and Greg W
LSP_K2
Progress that I had made when I was working on the kit earlier (when I intended for it to be a G-6), will save me some time here, which is a real good thing. Cannon housing and seat pan are just sitting there for the photo, as they both need additional work. Greg W and sandokan
LSP_K2
Given the somewhat delicate nature of the grafts, I'm taking no chances, beefing up the splices internally with some .080 strips. Greg W, LSP_Kevin and sandokan
LSP_K2
Second layer of delightful Tamiya white putty applied to the graft area. Overall fit, fore and aft, was pretty tight, so this should be a relatively easy cleanup, I'd think. LSP_K2
One of the advantages of my aborted K-4, is parts like these (pilot head armor) that are almost finished, again saving me some time. For those that are unaware, Trumpeter molded the glass portion with the rest of the unit, so that all needed to be ground out, to be replaced with clear sheet. sandokan, Gazzas, LSP_Kevin and 1 other
LSP_Ray
Nice work, Kev! I forgot about that armor problem; I remember chuckling about that when I first got my kit. LSP_K2

LSP_K2
Six of the twelve exhaust stacks (two pieces each) now assembled and awaiting cleanup. I would have done all 12 last night, but I'd already been going at it for two hours, and just ran out of steam. LSP_Kevin
