D Bellis Posted November 13, 2016 Posted November 13, 2016 Is there something specific you'd like to point out as the "oops"? Or, just making a blanket statement about Spitfires in general being a mistake? D BGB and Bravo52 2
Vandy 1 VX 4 Posted November 13, 2016 Posted November 13, 2016 I think he's referring to the guns on the wings one 20 mm is in board the other one is outboard That's the oops Right Shaka HI, Out2gtcha, AdamR and 1 other 4
AdamR Posted November 13, 2016 Author Posted November 13, 2016 I think he's referring to the guns on the wings one 20 mm is in board the other one is outboard That's the oops Right Bingo. Fortunately, I noticed it just before closing up the shop for the night. I didn't notice it while taking progress photos of the work in this session. The slow CA had not quite set completely, l guess, so disaster was averted as the brass cannon barrel came out with a "SNAP!" and no damage to the wing. Wicking in some thin cement got the little round plastic faring piece out of the other hole. This is what comes of building and trying to watch a football game at the same time. It makes me feel a little less dumb that Harv and D. didn't notice it right away, either! Zero77, Uncarina, mpk and 2 others 5

LSP_K2 Posted November 13, 2016 Posted November 13, 2016 I did something similar to a 1:48 P-38; glued the wheel wells on reversed (mirrored).
Vandy 1 VX 4 Posted November 13, 2016 Posted November 13, 2016 There was a guy that did a accurate miniatures B-25 Mitchell that was beautifully done. He had entered it in a show and then realized that he had the stars and bars on one side upside down with the point facing down joe, LSP_K2 and Zero77 3

Tim Carroll Posted November 13, 2016 Posted November 13, 2016 Hi Adam, If those are the cannon fairings you are using and you are doing a "C" wing - they look to be a little short. More like the ones you would see outboard when two cannon are fitted. Cheers
