Ali62 Posted January 18 Posted January 18 Hi Guys Two new intake cones are now available. These are 3D drawn and printed parts. The main CAD for the C/D option was done by Chad Summers with a few tweaks by myself as well as adapting the changes to allow it to fit the F option. North American F-100 C/D Super Sabre Nose Intake for Trumpeter kit North American F-100 F Super Sabre Nose Intake for Trumpeter kit Note green is the C/D blue is the F option, red is the included FOD cover D Bellis, Javlin1, Fanes and 6 others 9
Ali62 Posted January 20 Author Posted January 20 Thanks for the comments guys. what is needed for the Canopy, if you have and can provide some details and pictures can you please email them to me. Is the C/D canopy ok? Please use aerocraftmodels@gmail.com
jeroen_R90S Posted January 26 Posted January 26 Nice! Never realized there was a difference...is that due to the kit, or is there a difference in real life between the C/D and F's intakes as well? IIRC Aviationmegastore carries your range, I'll keep an eye out.

IIRC Aviationmegastore carries your range, I'll keep an eye out. The difference is kit based, not sure on REAL LIFE. Chad did the C/D I printed it and tried to fit to the F kit I have and it did not fit, to the internal trunking. So I redid the entire piece but kept the external shape as is but redid it so that it would fit the internal trunking as Trumpeter has it. I had to make it fit the kit rather than try and explore all the real life options as I think that would be extremely difficult to do and get a definitive answer, in scale it is dodging around in the 0-1mm sizes in various directions but it does alter the shape internally where the new part fits. on the side note, I have being trying to locate Erwin Stam at AMS for the past week but no reply. However as a general rule I do supply AMS.
Ali62 Posted January 27 Author Posted January 27 For all you guys in Europe Aviation Megastore should have stock within the next 3-4 weeks all being well. However I do mail direct to any country in the world should you want these items or any other ones. Fanes and jeroen_R90S 1 1

It looks like the front and rear parts of the F-100F canopy should be roughly equals in length; the Trumpeter part has the middle arch too far forward, making the rear part too long. However exact measurements would be useful. MB
Ali62 Posted January 27 Author Posted January 27 Thank you for that information MB, I can see that immediately from your pictures, I can have a look at that, may not be mm perfect but with a little more research and checking photos against kit parts / panels I should be able to make a reasonable judgement.
orion2 Posted January 28 Posted January 28 it could be also that the rear edge of the rear glazed part should be more vertical than in the kit MB

I'll keep an eye out at the AMS for the C/D version! Jeroen

Ben Brown Posted January 31 Posted January 31 Trumpeter’s treatment of the entire F-100 series in all three scales is… unfortunate. Ben
