  6. Nice detail work, bro. Sincerely, Mark
  7. Thank you all, gentlemen. Your compliments are greatly appreciated. You are the best! Sincerely, Mark
  8. Nice lineup on the exhaust ports. Pity about having to grind down that engine. It is one nice piece of casting. One would think it would fit their own kit. Sincerely, Mark
  9. http://www.pbjmitchell.com/pbj1h_drawings.htm Have you one of these for the B-26 Marauder? Thanks in advance. Sincerely, Mark
  10. The detail on that landing gear looks great. I love how you've put flexible line at both top and bottom. Nothing like some red for a little visual stimulation. That's an excellent color combination, red, white, black, yellow & green. Not to mention how your preshading is showing thru nicely. Good show. Sincerely, Mark
  11. On average, he had a new aircraft every 5-1/2 months. My arithmetic is as bad as my math. That would be, one every 2.1 months, or so. Sincerely, Mark
  12. You guys are CHAMPS! Thanks for the compliments. I consider myself a novice when it comes to the painting phase. I'm able to visualize how to construct something. I'm developing color theories as they apply to model building. I haven't yet fully developed the visualization techniques necessary for the painting and weathering phases. I need to sit down and study what I've done, what needs to be done, what I want to do, and how to do it. This aircraft will not have a lot of heavy weathering. Which is good for me. In the short time Hartmann was at the front, 2-1/2 years, I think, he went thru 14 aircraft. So how weathered can this aircraft be? On average, he had a new aircraft every 5-1/2 months. I think I figured this aircraft between November 1944 when Hartmann went from being Sta.Kap. 7/JG52 to Kdr. I/JG53 in February 1945. Anyway, Thanks guys. Sincerely, Mark
  13. . . .apparently it's to hard to mold the exhaust as one piece. Maybe someone can step up and cast one from their kit? Sincerely, Mark
  14. Beautiful work with an excellent asymmetrical layout. Really good show. Sincerely, Mark
  15. What fun! Fiddling around and making an airplane. Love what you're doing here, Vaughn. Sincerely, Mark
  16. I'm so excited I could have a cow. I thought I would never reach this point. But there is still much to do. Machine gun barrels, turbo intake, exhaust shields are white tacced in place. Windscreen is double sided adhesive filmed in place. The goodie side of the canopy has the yellow release handle. Detail is hardly noticeable. Flaps are white tacced in place. Parts are white tacced in place. I have yet to insert the tail position light. Cockpit close-up. Overall view. That black is a real popper. Hopefully it's from the lighting. Otherwise I hope weathering tones it down. Thanks for looking in. Sincerely, Mark
  17. This is wonderful, Harvey. The windshield really is very nice. Maybe you can use Sharpie pens to color the 'mat ' and tape. Maybe black, since it's for radar ops. Just a guess. Sincerely, Mark
  18. Wow! The possibility of all things Spitfire by Tamiya. Cherish the thought. Sincerely, Mark
  19. I love what you're doing here, Barry. I'm a big fan of two seaters, so now that I've found this thread I'll be tuning in regularly. Nice work. Sincerely, Mark
  20. Masterful work, Vaughn. Nice save on that cowling. Sincerely, Mark
  21. I haven't noticed your thread until now, Barry. Boy o boy have I been missing a quality effort, or what? Wonderful stuff. Your eye for detail, construction, and engineering are tops. Sincerely, Mark
  22. Whew! Beautiful detail weathering you've got going on there, Combi. Good show, for sure. Sincerely, Mark
  23. Rammstein, Thank you for the explanations. I am amazed with and love what you are doing. Will you be scratchbuilding and casting deck stuff? Or are there aftermarket companies you will be using? Thank you. Sincerely, Mark
  24. OMG will you look at that?! Overwhelming, Oliver, for sure. Super stuff. Sincerely, Mark
