  1. I thought the Trumpy Razorback was good. Not as good as if Hasegawa if they had done one, but good enough. Other than decals, this one is OOB:
  2. I swear by my Paasche H. 35 years old and going strong! Added a second one using a 40% off coupon at Hobby Lobby a couple years back. Love 'em!
  3. I had my say over there, FWIW. There's a few people at that other place who just think the world revolves around 1/48 scale. So sorry if they cannot stand that other people have other preferences. I've never seen a toylike model in any scale unless it was built toylike! One thing 1/32 scale has taught me is I must 'up' my modelling technique, or they will look 'toylike'. The switch to 1/32 has made me a better modeller!
  4. Just got my invoice from Doug and paid..... I just want to take a minute and thank those who organized this, and to my fellow buyers who pushed the purchased kit count over the top! Looking forward to my Gladiator kit!!! - Patrick
  5. I have a lot of photographs from my years in the Air Force that you may or may not be of use to you. If I can ever be of assistance, please PM me. - Patrick
  6. Got your MiG-23 intake parts and pylons....SUPERB!!!!!!
  7. Thanks, Derek. As for aftermarket costing more than the basic kit, I'm pretty used to that happening nowadays. Some of those "Big Ed" combo sets do that. I think the 20+ quid figure for your Hawk 100 bits is fair. - Patrick
  8. PayPal. Anyone paying via Paypal has pre-paid. Credit/debit cards are charged at the time of the actual sale/shipment.
  9. I'm looking to build a Canadian CT-155. Hopefully, the aftermarket folks will indulge me!
  10. Thanks, Mike. Very informative. I'll be watching the Sierra Hotel website!
  11. Hi..... Just wondering if anyone here has attempted to put a set of resin seamless intakes into the Revell F-4E kit? I have the kit and just purchased a set of intakes from Rhino Models on ebay. Comparing the Revell parts to my built Tamiya F-4C, the parts breakdown is much different, but I'm thinking it can be pulled off with some plastic surgery. Just would like to hear from anyone else who may have tried this. Thanks....
  12. I'm in. Also, FWIW, I publicised this in the 'classic aircraft' section over at ARC. Maybe we'll get one or two more takers.... - Patrick
  13. I might be interested in a Gladiator I/II. PM inbound to Doug.....
  14. They also did a F-102 type exhaust nozzle for the Trumpy F-100. A must if you're doing an ANG Hun. I used that, plus the J-57 nose mentioned above on my F-100. Great stuff. On top of that, when I ordered, they confirmed the parcel shipped, but a week later, I still didn't have it. I contacted them and they re-sent me new ones without question, and told me to keep the original order, if it arrived (it never did). Good people.
  15. Great news! I'm happy with any new J-aircraft releases.
  16. At the time there was NO hard evidence that Z-M was doing a Skyraider. Also, not one person in the thread (including me) at ARC said they're not doing a Skyraider. Also at the time, that was the prevailing opinion here, which is what I based my opinion on. So, it's a Skyraider. The people you are talking about were not wrong either. Nobody "totally lambasted" you either. It's called difference of opinion.
  17. Ok......Thanks for the info and fast reply!!!
  18. Hi.... Are the newer issues of the Revell 1/32 Tornado a recent tooling or is it still the same kit first issued in the early 1980's? I'd like to build an RAF GR.1 from the first Gulf war. Mucho thanks.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130476598638
  19. Went with the "Kate" but I'd be happy with any of them. Wish the George was a low-wing. Lukewarm on the Typhoon because I already have the MDC kit.
  20. Think I'll pass on this and take my chances with Trumpeter, since they've announced multiple versions. I'm most interested in a USAF A-1E
  21. That's what I was thinking. I pre-ordered mine at the end of August, so I'm a little ways down the line. No biggie.... At least I know they're working on it!
