  1. I've ordered the Premium kit...can't wait for it to arrive!
  2. I've done well over a thousand transactions on eBay since 2004, both buying and selling kits, and I can honestly say I've only ever had one problem. That was a buyer who claimed his kit never arrived, despite the Post Office saying otherwise. I took the hit (it wasn't a huge amount of money) and then blocked him from ever bidding on my items ever again.
  3. Well pretty much none of that true. I've built several WNW kits, including the Gotha G.IV, Brisfit, and Salmson and not one shows any sign of sagging or deformation in the landing gear, struts or wings - or indeed any part of the kit. The Brisfit is now getting on for 10 years old and is as sturdy as the day I built it.
  4. I disagree - I think it will go ahead, given that it's likely that +95% of the UK population will be vaccinated by then. There might be measures such as restricted numbers allowed in, masks might have to be worn, and quite possibly no overseas participation, but I'm pretty sure that by November it will be possible to hold it.
  5. Now available for pre-orders. Standard edition is €150, Premium edition (comes with linen effect decals) is €190. https://lukgraph.pl/
  6. That would have had just enough fuel to jettison the bombs somewhere behind our own front lines and stagger back to base on fumes...
  7. I'm waiting for mine to arrive, but if it's as good as it appears to be then I'll be in the market for a second one!
  8. I know Sweden has a liberal attitude towards sex, but why did they use music from a porn film for this?
  9. Here's my favourite means of going round in circles.
  10. Eftpos essentially just means card payment and, yes, those are the normal prices for NZ.
  11. The kits at the stand are all the ones currently listed as 'for sale' on the WNW website, with the following exceptions; Pfalz D.IIIa (Flying Circus Part 1) is available at the stand (listed as out of stock on the website) Pfalz D.IIIa (No Decals) is listed as available on the website but is NOT for sale at the stand FE.2.b (Late) is listed as available on the website but is NOT for sale at the stand All prices are as per the website, with the exception of the two Gothas which are, perhaps unsurprisingly, discounted.
  12. Sorry to disappoint the 'WNW isn't dead' crowd but, as predicted, it's just the sell-off of the remaining stock of kits located in NZ. No new kit production, no rising from the ashes.
  13. HM Hobbies currently has a limited supply of the MRP Swedish colours - I think all bar the Black and Dark Green.
  14. I think we'll just have to continue agreeing to disagree here Radu. It's true that production of the kits could be restarted with minimum effort, but so far there doesn't seem to be any intention to do so by the owner of the company.
  15. The word is they’re selling off the last remaining stock held in the NZ warehouse.
  16. Yes, they did do something - they landed a jet with an engine out, which would have been an unusual day at the office for them. But you know what, some other crew will land a jet with an engine out today somewhere in the world, and yet again tomorrow. And the day after. It's not like the crew didn't know what to do when it happened, they'll have practiced engine out scenarios countless times before in a simulator. It might have looked spectacular but this wasn't a 'wing and a prayer' incident like, say, United 232. They had an engine failure, they reacted as per their training, they landed the jet.
  17. Not to take anything away from them, but it is kinda their job to do that. Running checklists in an emergency isn't some sort of act of supreme level-headed calmness, it's what they're trained to do. That crew has probably flown exactly that kind of emergency - the loss of an engine - a hundred times in a simulator before it happened to them in real life.
  18. Mine turned up yesterday - they are superb! They'll make the kit much less of a hassle to build.
  19. Agree, the Yak or the Tempest. The others are earlier kits and can be a real pain to build - take it from me, I've built two of their Nates and they're quite tricky.
  20. Indeed - that's why I keep a record not only of my kits, but also any decals or aftermarket I've bought for them. My wife knows that the WNW and MFH kits are valuable (as well as the resin 1/20 F1 kits I have), but it's still worthwhile listing everything so she doesn't have to worry about what's what if I go under a bus tomorrow.
  21. For Tamiya spare parts in the UK, email enquiries@hobbyco.net You will need to tell them which sprues you need (i.e. the actual sprue item number listed in the instructions - they will only sell whole sprues, not individual items from a sprue) and they'll give you a price.
