Tomcats are just a sexy jet! I'm really looking forward to this build, I'm wanting to get my hands on a Tamiya cat, and the level of build that you're doing here, is simply amazing. I love the way the intakes were done and the results looks great!

Thank you everyone for your comments - the long journey is over as I have now finished the Hornet (even though I have not added the ladder).

well after some serious struggles and major setbacks, I have completed this bird. Now it's not for the rivet counters, there are some build error's, but hey, too late now. Sprayed with Tamiya and model master paints, CAM decals, and Model Master Pitot tube. I will take some better pictures tomorrow once the glue cures and sets.

Been a bit since I did a build in 1/32 and decided this would be my next run. I've gone a little batty on the aftermarket for this thing but such is the addiction we have. I bought a new house, and built a new model area, so with that you need a new model!

Hey all-
 
Been messing with this for a while. The plan is to build one of Robin Olds' MiG killers- either 680 from Operation Bolo, or 829 which Olds flew as Tampa 01 when he got 2 kills on 20 May 67 (and later became SCAT XXVII). Either way, the model will be post mission, with Olds and the GIB climbing out of the cockpit. I decided a crew chief going up the ladder would be cool-

The above image is of the decal I ripped in three places with tape after I'd very carefully removed the pieces from the tape and re-stuck them in their original positions.
 

Moved on little now. She's on her wheels and has decals on. Just have to finish up the undercarriage doors and finish the decals underneath. I'm not sure if I should dirty her up or not though.
 

Hi everybody I will attack this great kit I would climb you WIP  
 

I don't really like doing Wip's I seem to get bored of the kit half way through. But I might need some help on this one. I'm the kind of Modeller that if it looks like the aircraft it's fine. I'm in no way a rivet counter. Accuracy isn't high on my list at the moment. Maybe it'll change later.
 
This kit I'll be using Aires Cockpit and wheel wells along with Eduard'so exterior set.
 
But here we go. I've taken photos of only the undercarriage bays so far. I have completed the cockpit to just needs a wash.
 
The RCS in the front bay has been toned down from the bronze colour. As they tend to go a dull silvery/gold colour in use from what my ex RAF mate told me.
