Make it the 'LSP Fix' - *if* we manage to fix it!
Busy putting stickers on a Spitfire again - so not sure if there will be any more on the Lib today.
I *do* want to get this done and dusted as soon as I can - maybe over the next week - as I need to keep momentum/interest going...
Iain

Very nice images on FB. Forgot to ask. Did you use the Brassin engine or cockpit. Or both. And if either are they worth the expense. I have the same kit and am looking at starting the inevitable am collection. lol

Not sure if this is the correct thread to post this, but I purchased the HB 1/32 B-24J and want to convert it to a B-24H that my Uncle flew in. He was the right waist gunner in the Ken-O-Kay from the 732nd Sq 453rd Bomb group. I have photos of the aircraft and will have to come up with a way (masks or decals) to replicate the markings. I am not sure how to post photos here or I would post the photos I have.
Hopefully the differences between the H and J are not to difficult for me to correct.
Greg
is this this AC that you are talking about

Hello Madelf75, everyone has their little cheats for building models and this is one that I have used before. I have built other models using this technique and have had no bleed through after 3 years.
I did say that I use only Model Master paints and maybe that is the secret, who knows. Anyway this is a really fast way to do pre-shading and I thought I would share it with the group.
Dan
Cool i am sure when it is done it will look really good

A little progress....
I have put some dark Ghost Grey on the upper fuselage. I have preshaded the panel lines with a marker!! I know that some consider this as a bad move but it works for me. I was able to apply the shading over the entire airframe in only 20 minutes. The marker seems to soak in to the flat paint and does not present any problems on the color coats to follow. Anyway here are the photos.
Go ahead....Fire away.
Dan
I use to do my pre shading this way
This is a good way to find what works for you, one of the issues I had was the black would soak through the paint months after I painted it.
Just remember got to do what you like

Go get a hypodermic needle, cut the tip off so that it is no longer sharp. The plastic end on the needle fits nice and tight onto the end of the Zap CA bottle.
When the needle gets blocked with glue simply take a lighter and heat the tip, the glue will burn out and leave a nice fresh fine hole to apply the glue with.
As an added benefit as the needle blocks it keeps the glue fresh!
You can buy hyperdurmic tubing any size you want on ebay .so no need for the needles
