Thanks for your kind comments, Tim and Maru5137
Nothing new to report on the wee Puppy. I've been busy with everything Bob's Buckles and alas the old girl has been neglected.
I will finish her...in time
Cheers!

I have been working on the doped linen. I'm not 100% happy, but I'm as close as I'm going to get without losing the plot.

Bobs Buckles reacted to sandbagger in 1:32 scale - Nieuport N.28C1
Hi all,
As I'm waiting for the display case for the Bristol M.1C model, I thought I'd star the next model.
This model will represent the Nieuport N.28C1, Serial No.6177, of the 95th Aero Squadron, 1st Pursuit Group, operating from Saints aerodrome, France, during 1918.
This particular aircraft was flown by 1st Lt. Quentin Roosevelt, the son of the ex-President.
As very little of the cockpit will be seen, I'll just add control lines and bracing rigging, so essentially 'out-of-box - I think

Bobs Buckles reacted to olgerd83 in 1/32 Roden Fokker Dr.1 477/17
Hi everyone, I would like to share here photos of one of my recent completed models - 1/32 Roden Fokker Dr.1 477/17, flown by MvR during March 1918.
Dridecker is one of my favorite WW1 planes and I built about 5 or 6 models from this kit. A lot of modellers are very happy about new Meng's kit, which is much better, however Roden's kit is also very nice.
I started to build models in 1/32 scale from the same kit approx. 15 years ago and this year I decided to launch a Youtube channel also using this kit.
You can visit my channel and watch videos with the build progress and pictures you can find here -
I did a lot of things with this model:
- plastic sparking plugs were removed and replaced by scratch build
- added wires to sparking plugs
- HGW seat belts
- plywood fairing imitation
- control cables
- made double wire bracing
- I was mostly focused on painting and streaky camo.
So, please enjoy this model

Picked this up from HLJ, via group order, when Tamiya first released this kit in 2015.
Saw plenty of beautiful builds of this kit on LSP. The bar clearly has been raised. This will be an out of box build with exception of instrument panel and gun barrels. Cowlings, .303 and 20mm gun bays will be buttoned up.
I'm leaning towards a SEAC scheme.
hard to believe there are almost 2 dozen parts here. Primer applied to the future "hard to reach areas".
Primer complete.
MRP 111 Grey Green, MRP 77 NATO Black on IP and bulkhead components. Seats get Gunze 18 Black Green.
Will pick out details with brush and toothpick using Vallejo Color.
YAHU IP in lieu of kit IP and ...
HGW Basic Line set on deck for some seat belt love.

Well as Alain predicted, the rudder cable control horns didn't last long! One went pinging off to oblivion yesterday evening, so today it was out with the brass sheet to fashion a new arrangement, both sides on a single strip that slid conveniently through the fuselage.
It gives me the opportunity to centre them in the slot rather than at the very aft end, worked out well I think. Oh, and the errant IP is back in place too!
