  1. Interesting Subject, Jan. Looking very good so far. I have to admit I have never heard of this aeroplane before. Cheers, Hans
  2. Winner of "kit of the year 2014" award in my opinion, just by choice of subject and its execution. Keep them coming, Glen!
  3. Very nice, Peter. You can be proud of this beautiful model. Hans
  4. You could make a Romanian F-2 (or G-2) nightfighter ( ex NJG 6) out of the Dragon kit with the Fug 202/212 antennae. You will have to convert the engine nacelles and prop to "G" sttandard, though. Scale drawings can be found in one of the older issues of Revi magazine, there is a link in their website http://www.revi.cz/. The drawings are from the same guy that did the drawings for the Revi book on the C-E versions. Succes! Hans
  5. Peter, I have looked into doing the same aircraft. There are no afternarket Hs 293 missiles available in 1:32 and on top of that, the French tested the experimental television-guided version. I am looking forward seeing a Ju 188 being built in the same quality as yor Tyhoon. Hans
  6. Hi John, Have you thought about contacting the author of the Ju 388 book, Vernalaeken, directly? Perhaps he can help. He has a website on the Ju 388 with contact info and undoubtedly has gathered much more info on the airaft than is in his book. Hans
  7. Nice one Nico! I still have to finish mine, modified to an A-0 version. Hans
  8. Looking good, Kai and welcome to LSP. I built this model three years ago with a tread here on LSP: http://forum.largescaleplanes.com/index.php?showtopic=33081&page=1
  9. Hi John, The Ju-388 manual was put on auction last year or so and luckily for us was apparently bought by mr. Hafner. I have seen a photo of the seats somewhere (in a Modell-Fan magazine I think). If I can find it I'll make a scan and send it to you. Do you have the Merker drawings (the same guy who made the drawings of the nightfighter versions I sent you for your Ju 88G project) published in a Polish book on the ju 188/388? From these the cowl fan/ring and cowling diameter are larger than those fitted on the standard BMW 801. Hans
  10. I am working on Revell's new Ju 88A-4 and want to represent the 3E+KS of 8./KG 6 flown by Ofw. Franz Gapp during operation Steinbock early in 1944 from Melsbroek airbase near Brussels in Belgium. It had blue-grey (RLM 76) spots over standard RLM 70/71 green splinter camouflage on the wings, tailplane and fuselage and black undersides. The photos also show two coloured bands on the propellor hub. What (Gruppe or Staffel) colour can these be? Further one photo shows that this plane had flamedampers of a type that widens in the horizontal plane at the rear. Does anyone know of pics that show this type of damper more clearly? Hans
  11. That is going to be a cool looking combo when finished, Dutik. Love the paintwork. Cheers, Hans
  12. The Camel had lap belt, that fell between the seat and the fuselage when the pilot exited his plane and therefore were not generally visible when someone peeked into the cockpit.
  13. Hi Flounder, Thanks for the info.I found out that CMK sells torpedo racks and LTF 5b torpedos in 1:32 for the Ju 88. As for the notches, do you know what is their exact location?
  14. Hi all, I have a Revell kit that I intend to convert into a torpedo bomber as flown by KG 77 in the summer of 1944 over the Med out of southern France. The torpedo version of the A-4 of KG 77 lacked the forward gun in the cockpit and many aircraft had rato packs under the wings. Does anyone have info on exactly where these packs were attached under the wings? And are there photographs of the torpedo control panel in the forward starboard side of the cockpit? I have a handbook drawing, but it is not that detailed. And can the torpedos and the racks of the the Revell He 111H-6 kit be used on the Ju 88? Hans
  15. Does'nt the French handbook on the FK 58 have scale drawings of the aircraft? Two years ago the late stepson of Frits Koolhoven, Herman Vermeulen, attended our IPMS meeting and showed an original Koolhoven factory model of the FK 58. Compared to this model the fuselage of the Planet model looks a bit skinny. On hindsight I should have tried to loan the model from him and put it in a 3-d scanner.
  16. Thank you guys. Looking at the above drawing there must be even more rivets than I initially thought. I think I'll wait for the HK Models Liberator. Hans
  17. i am looking for the rivet patterns on the wings, fuslage and tailplane of this iconic bomber. I have several scale plans, but none shows the exact placement of the zillions of rivets that adorn the real airplane. Hans
  18. Petr Hobza is also working on a conversion set to make the V9 flown by Werner Streib, it will include new radar aerials and a new canopy. He hopes to have the set up for sale next month.
  19. Thanks Andy for the link. I am looking forward to the Mk II in Indian markings
  20. The "U" under the wing is most likely a replacement panel or a repaired panel. The dirty look of the airframe comes from the DB 603 engines, notorious for spreading soot all over the place, especially in the wheel wells and onto the landing gear. It is something to take into account when painting these parts. There is at least one photo of an Uhu with soot-black main undercarriage. Hans
  21. Hi Peter, A number of pics, albeit not of the complete panel can be found here http://www.ipms.nl/walkarounds/walkaround-vliegtuigen-props/823-walkaround-hawker-seafuru.html Scroll down to the end of the page (the dark blue Australian Sea Fury) and open the 8th thumbnail from below on the left side of the page. It shows a large portion of the rivet pattern on said panel. Hans
  22. Meindert, Luuk is working on the decals. Hans
  23. Owl has released a number of decal sets for the Uhu, including rare birds from Nachtjagdstaffel Norwegen and Nachtjagdgruppe 10 http://www.owl.cz/cz/obtiskove-sady/--1_32. Scroll down to the end of the page. Hans
