  1. Well they could have made some kind of announcement sooner than this. It's going to hurt HK for sure and to announce it so close to the release of the HK kit is pretty low.
  2. They worked really well for me on the Tamiya Spit. used micro set (blue) underneath and they stuck really well. From memory (couple years ago-should have kept notes) about 4-6 hours then peeled away, no carrier film. Try a couple out first and come up with what works for you. Cheers Joe
  3. Had the same issue with the 48th Catalina. It is now 1 year to the day since I preordered them. Apparently they rejected a couple of batches due to QC issues. Not sure what the delay is at this point, these are just decals, no PE. Cheers Joe
  4. I wouldn't go for the pre painted canopy. It doesn't fit that well and you'll likely lose some paint in the process of getting it to fit. Cheers. Joe

    Six Camels!!

For me too. Sprue Bros shipping to Canada is very reasonable now they have the discount shipping rate available to here (I forget the name of it). takes a little longer but I'm rarely in a hurry. I've had nothing but positive experience with them. It is cheaper to order the Camels from Hannants in the UK and ship to Vancouver, Canada than to order from Weta in Seattle. Hannants overseas shipping seems pretty reasonable. Cheers Joe

    Six Camels!!

I cancelled mine when the shipping charge came up as $40 US to ship one camel to BC, Canada. Sorry, but there's no way I'll pay that. Cheers Joe

    Six Camels!!

Me too. And the duellists, depending on the price
  8. Made the same mistake with the sheet fot 'hot gen'. Thought I'd do a b25 in British markings only to find the markings are for the CWHM b25. Nice enough If you want to do that warbird, but the original wartime b25 hot gen was not a solid nose and was not a Mitchell III, so I can't use them on my glass nose one either. Should have looked into it a bit more before I bought them. Cheers Joe
  9. Those were really nice builds Bill. All 3 were beautifully done. Congrats. Thanks for the comment on the Zero, that was mine. Cheers Joe
  10. I'd love to do a conversion to a Canadian SAR lanc. I started the 48th conversion with the Leading Edge decals and resin but fizzed out on it. Would be great if Leading edge scaled up their decal sheet! Cheers Joe
  11. The Zero type 21 was almost entirely a new tool. New wings, fuselage, most of the cockpit. Not a lot in common with the type 52 Cheers Joe
  12. I used to use Polly Scale too. Tried a lot before I settled on Vallejo Polyurethane Matt Varnish (27.651). Not the same as the little squirt bottles of flat. Very durable and dead flat. Thinned with Vallejo airbrush thinner. Good value too as it comes in a large bottle (the one I got is 200ml, but they have larger ones I think). Cheers Joe
  13. I'd buy, but almost everything I looked at was back ordered.
  14. colour schemes now up as well as all the model images, instructions etc
  15. Who owns revell now then? Cheers Joe
