Intruder503
Hello! I currently have a 1/32 Trumpy A-6E on the bench. I don't get a ton of bench time so this build has been going for about a month now with little progress (at least to me). The first couple of post will be catch up. A little bit about the aircraft I'm hoping to do justice to: Buno 152950, tail number 503. I was her keeper in 1995-96. She was the oldest aircraft in the squadron. HOWEVER, she spent very little time in the hanger and she earned me a commendation from Commander CAG 5 for most sortie hours on our cruise in support of Operation Southern Watch. BTW, the most sortie hours for the entire air group! Hope you enjoy First was the office: A-6E Intruder by Chris Coggon, on Flickr A-6E Intruder by Chris Coggon, on Flickr A-6E Intruder by Chris Coggon, on Flickr A-6E Intruder by Chris Coggon, on Flickr A-6E Intruder by Chris Coggon, on Flickr Quickboost MB GRU-7A seats modified A-6E Intruder by Chris Coggon, on Flickr A-6E Intruder by Chris Coggon, on Flickr A-6E Intruder by Chris Coggon, on Flickr A-6E Intruder by Chris Coggon, on Flickr Starfighter Jock, A-10LOADER, Shaka HI and 5 others

Squizzy 78
Great start Chris, I can't wait to see more. I've heard that the. A-6 is probably trumpeters best kit, I'll be following this thread and can't wait to see this kit come together.

allthumbs
Chris, You're off to a great start. Thanks for sharing your work here. Intruder503
Looks like you raided the candy jar for those LOX bottles...Skittles? Rich Ha ha! They are acrylic beads from the craft store. Almost perfect scale size. (Besides, Skittles are only good for the 5L bottles seeing as they're flatter, lol) allthumbs
Intruder503
This is the last post of the already done variety. I'm not a stickler for total accuracy. I don't plan on entering any contests. Nothing wrong with those that do, just not my cup o tea. I do strive to fix glaring errors. One I've found on the Trumpy kit is the inboard stall fences. They are too far outboard. If you look at the actual placement, they are located just inside of the inboard pylons' lines. After some image engineering, I determined a rough calculation of moving them approximately 1/2 inch inward. stall fence move by Chris Coggon, on Flickr Untitled by Chris Coggon, on Flickr And with that, you are now caught up. I am using the drop tanks from a 1/32 Hasegawa/Minicraft TA-4J because the one's from the Trumpeter kit just don't look right. Nothing really to show there. I do have 2 more (at least) scratch build projects ongoing, but I'll keep the lid on those for now. Intruder503
Sorry for the lack of updates. Not much bench time lately. And even when I do, I'm just doing boring detail stuff like eradicating the kit's detail in the main gear wells so I can do my own and blending seams here and there. Not really pic worthy I'm afraid.
