Intruder503
Chris- Nice work on the cockpit so far. It just seems to have the right weathered feel to me. Please keep the updates coming. THOR Thanks Thor! The rear deck needs some dirtying up, but that will come when I get the two halves together.
Intruder503
Great start Chris, I can't wait to see more. I've heard that the. A-6 is probably trumpeters best kit, I'll be following this thread and can't wait to see this kit come together. Thank you, Squizzy! So far I really am enjoying it! I only have one other Trumpeter kit in the stash (1/32 TBF-1C) and I've heard that those are the 2 best ones. Glad to have you onboard!

Intruder503
Excellent! Really great details. Thank you! I'm learning some great techniques on this build. Kind of dove in the deep end and hoped not to drown! LOL
Marcel111
Nice start on your A-6, looking forward to seeing more. I had never noticed that wing fence error before... Cheers, Marcel
Intruder503
Nice start on your A-6, looking forward to seeing more. I had never noticed that wing fence error before... Cheers, Marcel Thanks Marcel! TBH it was pointed out to me on another site before I got to that point. Research proved it to be in the wrong place. Intruder503
Very minor update: I've been tackling the MLG wheel wells, wings, and slats/flaps. Wanting to do my own details, I started by eradicating (I just love saying it that way!) the kit's details, sanded semi smooth and laid down a coat of Mr Surfacer 500 and sanded smooth. Before and after: Untitled by Chris Coggon, on Flickr Started the process: Untitled by Chris Coggon, on Flickr And just some blending on the flap track joints: Untitled by Chris Coggon, on Flickr Untitled by Chris Coggon, on Flickr A-10LOADER and F`s are my favs
ClumsyDude
Looks awesome Chris ... can't wait to see the completed gear wells. I used to get totally bored by them but I am coming around to a bit of wheel well art in my old age ... Cheers Jim
Intruder503
Hi folks! It's been a while since I last updated. Finally got a few hours at the bench. Even though it won't really be seen, I decided to take a shot at scratching out the avionics bay (where the birdcage goes up into). I decided to just do basic structure and no details as this was just for my own education and practice.
