1/32 F-16 I Sufa - Academy

Hello,

My last 1/32nd plane was a Ki61...

My last jetplane at this scale was... my Tomcat in 2009...

So here is my Academy Sufa.

Building process is here (in french):

The build last 3 months. It was pretty fast forward without major modifications or add-ons.

I just tried to correct the shape and spacing of the intake, and added Isracast Spice missiles.

I also encountered serious fit troubles with the fuselage parts. But no big deal...

I tainted front canopy with "bétadine" thinned in alcohol, applied with a brush.

The camo is hand sprayed with Humbrol enamels, polished with micromesh, klired, and polished again.

After decals, i applied a wash of Payne grey and sépia.

I sprayed a few coat of satin and matt varnish from Microscale.

Some dust is added with pigments.

Et voilà ^^

Hi!

thank you guys very much!

Excellent build, love the staining on the belly especially. The extra work spent correcting the intake shape has paid off, looks MUCH better.

Thank you... i now realize effort as paid:

A very nice build indeed, but unfortunately the intake was not corrected in that then overly large or "swollen" cross sectional sides still exist. The main problem is it's too fat on the sides. A decent attempt, but having already attempted this correction, the overall quarter hacking of the kit intake was not worth it. I ended up using the dead-on accurate Tamiya intake as a basis for shape, which was no walk in the park, but much better than trying to fix a FUBAR error.

No matter though, as the overall end result is quite nice.
