dodgem37
Good show, Ron. Which kit are you using? I didn't notice. Thank you. Sincerely, Mark
dennismcc
Looking good, an NMF Spitfire IX should really stand out. Cheers Dennis

LSP_Ron
Thanks I should be ready for a good update as soon as I get some free time to take some pics. Fuse and wings are now together and starting on the engine. I am gluing the cowl closed, I already have one of these kits done up with a detailed engine. geedubelyer and monthebiff

LSP_Ron
Thanks guys, I've been so busy at work I haven't had much spare time to build or do an update. geedubelyer
DonH
Hi, Just catching up on this thread and looking forward to your progress. One minor thing. The seat was NOT bakelite. It was plastic. I am not certain of the composition but I seem to recall it was some sort of paper and resin mix.
DonH
Here's a quote from Edgar on seats: There isn't a truly "correct" colour, since the material could vary, quite substantially, in colour, even on the same seat. It wasn't Bakelite, either (some mandarin, in Whitehall, has a lot to answer for, for using the name,) but a resin/paper (yes, really) mixture, and the colour depended, quite a lot, on how the material was made. He's still helping us! MikeC
LSP_Ron
I swear he and Rotary (Dave, god rest is sole as well) told me it was bakelite or similar to it many years ago when I was building my Mk1 (like 10 years ago)

geedubelyer
Hi Ron, I read your thread regarding lost mojo so wondered if this build might help to restore it? Do you feel like picking the Spit up again? I'd like to see more if you're in the mood. Cheers.
geedubelyer
Hi Ron, How's your modelling these days? Did you work up any enthusiasm for your kits? It would be super to see this one move along a little. Cheers
