Dennis

Thanks Dennis, looking forward to getting some markings on now!

Also had a play with different Vallejo Metals

From left to right is Aluminium, White Aluminium and Semi Matt Aluminium.

I've settled on on the Semi Matt Aluminium for the undersides

Thank you Mike, time to make a start on getting the smaller bits and pieces painted ready now.

Now that is how I want mine to look, those early markings are spectacular.

Cheers

Dennis

I've always liked the early Spitfire's Dennis with the oversized roundels etc, also like the mid/ late Spitfire's with the massive oversized serials on the fuselage sides.

I use AK Extreme Metals almost exclusively these days but that Vallejo Semi Matt Aluminium looks pretty good to me, perhaps I’ll try some.

John

Bever used tge AK Extreme Metals John but swear ny their Real Colors range!

The Vallejo Metal paints are just superb and spray so nicely but equally brush paint just as well.

Looking good! Those Vallejo metals work a treat. They spray nice and don’t stink like the AK/Alclad stuff.

They are so good aren't they! Brush paint really nicely as well. I do like Gunze Aluminium for bare metal areas as opposed to the Vallejo colours though.
