One for the Dune fans

Just came across this whilst browsing the Metro Hobbies site: https://www.metrohobbies.com.au/products/meng-mms-014-dune-harkonnen-ornithopter-1

as well as: https://www.metrohobbies.com.au/products/meng-mms-011-dune-atreides-ornithopter

I didn't know that Meng were even thinking about making this let alone actually producing one until now

Its a cool design, so I think I may just get myself one

There is also the harvester: https://www.metrohobbies.com.au/products/meng-mms-013-dune-spice-harvester

The Harvester is not as interesting to me personally, so I think I'll skip it but its still cool to know these subjects are getting released in plastic as opposed to 3D printing one

Yeah I agree about the size, its too small but in turn, this means they should be quite cheap, therefore allowing the purchase of multiple items, of which some you can paint in any scheme you like. Make one a gunship with external wings and rocket launchers, etc. You could even paint one in search and rescue colours, or CoastGuard. The list is endless :D

I purchased a really nice B-wing from Gamebody, and it's very nicely detailed.

You could basically scale things up yourself as well, just like most 3D files.

I've experienced that stuff from Gambody scales up very, very well. I purchased their file for the Starship Troopers warrior bug, which was intended to be printed in roughly 1/48 scale. I asked my buddy to make it as big as possible, and I ended up with something much closer to 1/24 scale, if not larger. And it's outstanding. Tons of fun to paint and put together. There's some really cool stuff on that website.

Well, duh. I don't know how I missed that, I'm on Gambody once a week!

And holy crap, at 1/32 it's wingspan would be 6 feet!!

That would cost hundreds in resin alone, and wouldn't hold it's own weight, probably! A 1/64 version might be possible, but it would still be 3 feet wide.

By comparison, a 1/32 B-29 would only be 4.5 feet wide....

Tim, you are well known for your problem-solving skills around here. I'm confident this will easily be accomplished by you. I have faith in you.
