One is a single kit of a Bf109G made by Revell and the other made by Eduard containing two Bf109G kits in a box.  Did I win?

44 + - is Erla production G-10.

No. 2 + - is WNF production G-10.

No. 12 +  is MTT production G-10(can't see image well enough...)

That's my take.

I'd hazard a guess that the Eduard 109 has a much higher parts count than the Revell.

Sorry guys, the REAL difference is that the Revell kit passes the K.I.S.S. test. The clue was clearly printed on the box: 40 parts. 40! 

 

I bought the the kit to use as a paint mule (I recently gave away all my unfinished kits to a fellow here on LSP). It is a simple yet reasonable accurate build that I first built when I was a teenager. (The larger Hasegawa Bf109s are similar) 

I liked it very much which is really why I bought it again. 

Now when I think about it maybe I should go back to building kits I liked. They will not be the best, but perhaps a better base for an enjoyable build?

 

(anyone got the big old 60's Revell Bf109 in the stash?)

The F ? Built it in 1967 when it came out. Later I started collecting them. Had 5 and gave them all

away a few years ago when I decided I was never going to build them.

Yes, it had "beulen" but i figure it is the same kit.

@MikeMaben I built that and the G back in the day.  Both models now long gone, we are talking early 70s after all.  I seem to recall that one came out first, then they rehashed the moulds to make the other, but (a) I can't recall if it was F then G, or the other way round, or (b) whether that was what actually happened.

Hey Mike, yeah the F was released (where I lived in Seattle) in 1967 along with the Spitfire and P-40,

then some time later they just added gun bumps and called it a G. Those were the days.

I remember my dad building that F back in the early 70s when i was a wee nipper.. Was the only 1/32 kit I ever remember him doing..

I built that very same 1:48 '109 many, many years ago. While sparse in the 'pit (probably the wheel wells too), it was still a nice little kit.
