Aren't there a bunch of differences needed to do an Israeli AH-64 Sharaf? Or is it just decals needed?

Matt

Quite a bunch, yes. Here's a short WA,have another at the same site-more extensive, but seems the images are lost there(have them all on my PC)

Actually it depends. Initially they were virtually identical to the US ones but they quickly received additional items such as flare launchers and this progressively evolved along the decades of use. Currently they have the so-called Picasso belly pod, glass cockpits, GPS system, etc. The reason is simple: It looks the IAF considered the price requested by Boeing to convert them into Peten airframes was far too high. So they decided to modernize their Sharaf themselves without adding the D cheeks. Accordingly, they are now completely different helicopters. By the way it looks there is no available walk-around of the cockpit modifications !

No it does not! Only external pictures. You have cockpits views but none of the improved A. And it looks there is a security reason as I have never seen detailed pictures anywhere except a bad one showing part of the rear IP. Actually, I did not forget the antennas but did not intend to detail all the changes. However, you're quite right mentioning them as they are very visible.

I'm planning on building two of the E models, both WIFs, one Australian, one Kiwi. Luckily being WIF's it doesn't matter what parts I use as long as one has an Esky, the other a chilly bin :)

Did you know something...

Will the Kiwi one be done in Camo, a la similar to an A-4 Kahu?

Yeah, I knew were getting Apaches, they'll look good in AAAvn camo, so really the Kiwi version is the only true WIF, and yes, I'll be using the Kahu as inspiration :)

any word on 3D decal for the cockpit? I think I saw it somewhere but can't find it again.....

Nothing yet from Quinta but I’m sure it will only be a matter of time.   As far as aftermarket- I’m hoping some does resin seats with molded in place seatbelts.  The kit’s PE belts are pretty basic.
