Superb job on that Dennis!! You pushed through and the result is wonderful. PCM kits are work but like you said, they released kits of aircraft that no other company had done, and in some cases still haven't. I'm looking at my PCM Spitfire IX too.

The Tempest is just such an elegant and aggressive looking beast.

Richard

Thank you Richard, glad that you like, I am a fan of PCM and have quite a few of their kits, especially the Italian subjects, and I have just lifted the lid on the Spitfire IX and it looks very familiar so once the Hurricane is in the paint shop I will begin building it.

Excellent work and thanks for posting. Agree that the Tempest is one cool airplane.

Thank you John, I'm sitting here in my study with the Tempest on the shelf by me and it does look most impressive.

Finished up beautifully Dennis  :clap2::speak_cool::goodjob:

Thank you Mike, the finish was the best and most enjoyable part of the build and I am very pleased about it, and it was a journey back to basics after being spoiled by more modern kits.

"A thing divine, for nothing natural

I ever saw so noble." (Miranda, The Tempest, I:2, William Shakespeare)

How did I miss this?  It looks superb.  :goodjob:

I'm a diehard Spitfire fan, but like you I have a soft spot for the Tempest which extends back to the Typhoon and forward to the Sea Fury.

Thank you Mike, I am a huge fan of the Spitfire in fact most of the models in my cabinets are Spitfires and a goodly proportion of my stash are Spitfire related. But the Typhoon and Tempest hold a strange fascination for me, I still have another PCM Tempest and an SH Tempest to build in the future.

Really nice Tempest, one of my favourites, pity there are so few in existence.

Thank you for that, and it is a shame that history has not been kind to either the Typhoon or the Tempest when it comes to preserved examples.

Cheers

I come back and look at this frequently.  I said i wanted to build one, and now im waiting on a Revell repop of the Special Hobby to arrive. I already snapped up resin wheels, the replacement nose and prop, intake, stencils…

you got me with this one, its a very nice rendition of a brutally sexy plane.
