Wrong scale prop caution

Hey all, as some of you know I'm building the Merit 1/24 scale triplane. Wanting a better prop I searched on line and found LF Models carried 1/24 scale hand made, laminated wood props in various scales including 1/24. They are expensive but beautiful. Their website:

I ordered one and after a long wait it showed up but seemed rather oversized...

After checking my ref the standard prop for the triplane was 2,620 mm which in 1/24 is 10.92 cm .. bang on for the kit prop. This expensive wood one scales out at 12.3 or somewhere around 1/21 scale.

I've sent off a message to the company but as they carry other scale props, if you are thinking of ordering I advise you check the dimensions and verify the size of the prop you are ordering... they are beautiful indeed.. but a waste of money if they are the wrong scale.

FYI

Good to know.  I am in the middle of 1/28 Revell Dr-1 build, and had considered purchasing a hand carved prop, as the prop is the "face" of a WW1 aircraft.  Might instead try the 2 tone paint with streaked oil wash finish on plastic prop instead.
