1/48 Tamiya French He-162.

Here are a few photos of my 162 before I attached the pitot. (the hole is visible in the nose) It's on now but the kit is hard to get too. I also forgot to take shots of the underside.

 

This AC was with the French for years and became heavily faded and weathered. The photo I had of it was from around 1950. I built it OOB except for the Berna decals. I even used the decal harness. Just to see how it looks.

I now know I can complete kits. This makes it far more enjoyable. I have a few on the verge of completion but I have to wait due to family obligations. Two of them are 1/32. :)

I didn't know the French had painted one of these up like that and were flying it well after the War ended.

 

 

 

I think they had 5 or more. I discovered photos of loads of captured He-162's. I think the photo I saw was from 48/9.
