kkarlsen
Exterior painting work commences, first up, fabric covered surfaces... Masked off the ribs and then some preshading in dark gray... Undersides had a coating with a dull aluminium/grey ... Top surfaces and rudders are given a mix of Vallejo Olive Drab + Desert sand to lighten it up a bit... Everything finished with a quick dusting with 'Future' to give the paintwork some resilience... dodgem37
Fantastic illusion on the fabric. The best! Nice metal finish. Sincerely, Mark kkarlsen
kkarlsen
Thanks, I am going to try to do some weathering of the aluminium. The goal is to get a 'worn' weathered look, typical for the planes operating out of Corsica. This will be a first for me, so I'm expecting a lot of trial and error... kkarlsen
Working on the texturing and weathering of the NMF.... First step is sanding back the base coat layer rivets and minor errors corrected. It looks a mess... Fading it with Alclad white aluminium. Next step - Salt masking... When dry airbrushing with Alclad White/Polished aluminium... A couple of panels picked out with dark aluminium... It's beginning to look authentic...
