Exterior painting work commences, first up, fabric covered surfaces...

 

Masked off the ribs and then some preshading in dark gray...

Undersides had a coating with a dull aluminium/grey ...

Top surfaces and rudders are given a mix of Vallejo Olive Drab + Desert sand to lighten it up a bit...

Everything finished with a quick dusting with 'Future' to give the paintwork some resilience...

Thanks, I am going to try to do some weathering of the aluminium. The goal is to get a 'worn' weathered look, typical for the planes operating out of Corsica. This will be a first for me, so I'm expecting a lot of trial and error...

Working on the texturing and weathering of the NMF....

First step is sanding back the base coat layer rivets and minor errors corrected. It looks a mess... Fading it with Alclad white aluminium.

Next step - Salt masking...  When dry airbrushing with Alclad White/Polished aluminium...
