Youngtiger1
Brother, I hear what you are saying. It is a great base for some amazing builds. Now, imagine 1/16 M1A1 w/ Tusk armore and a mine plow. I'm sure someone on armorama is already thinking about such conversion. It would look totally cool in this size Uncarina
GMK
I was pining for a 2A6M(Can) and the talk turned to these. With all the love the Leo has been getting with kit makers lately, it's good to see someone doing an Abrams. I should finish my 2A6M CAN zone 1/16. Uncarina
Tom, Ooh that is quite lovely, a work of art and beautifully done. Great job on the scratch building. WOW. Uncarina
One of the distinctive characteristics of the 3rd ID Abrams in OIF was the extra bustle rack applied locally. This was different from those adopted by the Marines. It came together faster than I expected, and I'm pleased with how it changes the look of this beast. mywifehatesmodels
Let me be the first to say...."Gorgeous rack!". Seriously, though. The detail is quite a step up. Great work! John D.B. Andrus, Shawn M and Uncarina

Tomcat14
Really nice work on the Abrams Tom, I have one in limbo right now but will use your build thread for Inspiration to get it done soon. Chris

Uncarina
A brief update: based on suggestions I've added the tie down loops to the bustle rack, removed the base of the independent thermal viewer, and scratchbuilt the exhaust deflector. Oh yes, and I replaced the gunsight for the 50 caliber, complete with the vane. I've ordered jerrycans from Shapeways, and once they arrive I can scratchbuild the jerrycan baskets. Yahoo, progress is being made! Cheers, Tom Youngtiger1, Dragon and jgrease

Uncarina
While waiting for the jerry cans to arrive I decided to add the anti-slip texture. I decided to use the Rustoleum textured paint, saving the Tamiya Asphalt Diorama paint for a future build or for touch-ups. I'm pretty pleased with the results, since it looks in scale and not too uniform. Cheers, Tom jgrease, Dragon and Out2gtcha
