Hi to all

I started the project with the model of the Spitfire MkVb Trumpeter 1/24,
  built a few years ago.

After disassembling, I removed the paint and glue residues.

The project involves the complete coating of aluminum (Aluminium metal tape) and the finish will be in NMF.
For this reason, the model will definitely not historical but only experimental to test the possibilities offered by technology MWP (Metal work panels)

I started with the propeller and engine covers including exhausts:

I completed the left side of the fuselage, the rudder and the surfaces of the tail.

That's awesome!  Replacing everything with metal makes it look great, how did you do the spinner?  Was that done with the metal tape or made on a lathe?

Hi Matt,

Thank you for the comment and I want to congratulate you on your wonderful work on Typhoon Mk1 .

The spinner has been coated with metal foil tape ( adhesive , ultra thin ) . I have divided into three equal sections and then I ironed the parts with a cylinder preheated .

the Master  guns Hispano .

These are my progress .

Hi to all

I've finished this MWP studio.

This model is only experimental and not historical . The squadron insignia are only illustrative and should not be considered as reference .
To achieve the metallic coating I used the ultra-thin aluminum metal tape by applying the  MWP procedure
To complete the study , it took several time ( about a year) .
I upgraded the model with new and interesting accessories such as flaps and lowering mechanisms implemented by MasterCasters PE and Hispano 20mm cannons produced by Air Master metal and brass just to mention some details .
Even the engine Rolls Royce Merlin was more detailed and completed in the parts missing or incorrect .
The canopy has been updated with the riveting of HGW (wet transfer )
The study helped me to experiment with new techniques and use new materials on the metal thus implementing the MWP technique that is now mature
to be used on any model of any scale and age .
