Hi to all, I managed to complete the first part of the model or the 'tricycle' of the Me 109 G-2 'Yellow 12': - realization of the hinge for opening / closing the bonnet the sketch: materials used: metal sheet, self-adhesive aluminum tape brass tube (Trumpeter): execution of the work: I prepare the loops for the support of the central pin which must be fixed in a consequential alternating right / left position (contrary to what was done for the lower calender where the hinge was fixed with the loops in a straight consequential position) : - removing the original support : - final results: - replacing the radiator grille: - final results: preview - coloring and dynamic 'dirt' of the spinner (Contact Résine) on electric cutter operated at low speed and sprayed with a mixture of dark gray and light brown (mud) diluted to 75% with 1.5 bar pressure and 2mm nozzle: - final risults: preview - pre-coloring (dark gray background ): - transparent coating, riveting, coloring and modification: opening / closing canopy (internal and external) scratch building details: -moving parts completed : - liquid masking of the model (latex): - replacement of original wheels with optional resin set (Contact Résine), detail, application of color decals and final gallery of the session: in summary this is the work carried out so far: for more info & pics :APM That's all. Thanks for your attention and for your time. George -

Hi to all Thank you all for the compliments received. I decided to give Gustav more detail by cutting the leading edge of the wing at the root of the fuselage, working on the landing gear hood. The severed part has been completely reconstructed and detailed. I built the hinge for the lower cowl of the engine: I replaced the hitch pins of the original plastic carriages with metal ones due to the greater weight loaded on the model by resins and photoetched: I prepared the end parts of the carriage covers with the plate (in the real models they were separate): After working on the details of DB 605 this is the final result of the session: more info & pics: http://www.adventurephotomodels.com That's all . Oh men thn you are doubly bravo! I know what an effort and how much work you had to do! I also performed my first experiments with the aluminum kitchen and repositionable 3M Montain glue: a drama, it was more what I threw away than what I was able to coat. A real nightmare, now with the aluminum tape, another life! -

Thanks Ron for the comment and for the wonderful feeling you managed to convey to me with the memory of Okinawa. I hope I understand your request and post these images on the ammo bay: this is the Eduard pe set: and now........... Erika, my personal assistant, in the role of the Strafer pilot, presents the final version with the nose correction for the 'Lady Lil' version. Thanks Jeeps for the intervention and the information, I took note Thanks for the comment I appreciated it very much. I also was quite surprised by the absence of smoke behind the exhausts (I love to highlight them) but, from the photos of the real aircraft it seems to be like this: I thank everyone for the attention and interest shown in this work: extracted from the wip: -
Hi to all, I present the B-25 model in MWP (Metal Work Panels) version completely covered in aluminum (metal tape), customized & detailed in the following optional version: North American B-25 J Mitchell "Lady Lil" (correct nose for this version ) Hong Kong Models kit 1/32 scale model - version: 498thBs "Falcons", 345bth Bomber Group " Air Apaches" 5th AF in Philippines, May 1945 : for more info & pics :http://www.adventurephotomodels.com Thanks for the attention George

Hi to all Contact Resine resin accessories have finally arrived for spinners, propellers, controls surface, wheels: the original part (propeller) Now I'll take care of correcting the compressor filter instead: here you can see how the filter was cut with a rounded shape: and here as proposed by the Trumpeter kit: let's proceed with the Kintsuglue modeling paste that will allow me to model the part until the desired shape is obtained and correct the filter cut: apply a small amount of paste on the affected part: I have to let the modeled part harden for 24 hours and then I can sand it, modify it and paint it easily: result of the correction of the cut of the air filter and simulation with the resin parts of Contact Resine: That's all for this session. Thanks for the attention George for more info & pics:http://www.adventurephotomodels.com -

Hi to all we pick up where I left off. correction of DB 605 / A engine calenders: I make a thin strip from the sheet of metal to finish the internal moldings and then fix them correction of the external fins of the cowlings: those of the kit appear slightly undersized creation of the closing rails for the cowlings stops: The idea is to be able to insert the cowling on two self-made tracks (as in the real model) so that it can be held without gluing it and to be able to optionally open or not the cowling and show the DB 605 / A in all its positions or keep the perfect closure and show intact its camouflage. Daimler Benz DB 605 /A preview note: the cables and the various connections are sent back to the insertion of the engine inside the fuselage. detail of the compressor fan: 1- I open the compartment to rebuild the fan seat with the help of a low speed electric cutter: 2- I remove the excess parts, sanding with the cutter with a round head file and finally I brush up with Mr. Surfacer 1000 liquid putty 3- I apply the micro-blades obtained from a thin flap of sheet metal inserting them delicately and individually close to the very small self-made pin and obtained from a residue of resin wrapped on the tip of the cutter scratch building of other metal parts: MWP (Metal Work Panels technique) : cloning panels : modification and detail of the oil tank : wanting to keep the hatch open, I had to build both the internal and external part of the tank including the hatch and the power inlet. Also in this case, the connecting cables are returned with the motor switched on dents in the auxiliary tank : it seems trivial and perhaps stupid but I can assure you that the realistic effect that is reproduced is absolutely interesting! after having glued the two shells I made small and light depressions with the electric cutter at low speed so as to simulate the classic dents suffered by the tank often stacked against each other on the ground in the fast succession of missions after having adequately sanded the interested parts, I reviewed and standardized all the work with a couple of passes of Mr. Surfacer 1200 DB 605 motor insertion and cowlings closing test with the changes made: result OK! A- "open" B-"closed" final gallery: thanks for your attention. George for more info & pics : http://www.adventurephotomodels.com -
