Fairchild AFB, Washington after Mount St. Helens erupted and dumped ash on the region.. They had their annual air show scheduled that day. A large number of aircraft, including an SR-71, got stuck there until the place could be cleaned up. Fairchild is about 240 miles (about 385 km) ENE of Mount St. Helens. https://www.facebook.com/pg/92ARWHistorian/photos/?tab=album&album_id=696649237101889 I think this is a public posting, so anyone should be able to see it regardless of Facebook membership or not.
