  5. That is some seriously nice work!
  6. Thanks for publishing it Kev, and thanks to everyone for your kind comments!
  7. Finished this the other day, Spitfire mk VIII flown by RAAF Wing Commander Bobby Gibbes. This was built mostly out of the box, I did use the Barracuda cockpit door and Quickboost exhaust stacks. Tamiya and Gunze acrylics were used, roundels and codes etc were all painted using Mal's awesome masks. I must say a very big thank you to Harv who sent me some shark mouth decals after I made a mess of mine! Cheers Michael.
  8. That's a big help- thanks Jennings! And thanks to everyone for paint suggestions.
  9. Hi all, today I'm starting to plan my next build a Tamiya P-51D. From what I understand they mostly had painted (doped) silver wings as opposed to NMF. Can anyone recommend a suitable paint application to reproduce this? I'm planning on trying the Vallejo Metal paints for the fuselage, but unsure of what to use on the wings.
  10. I really like this kit, I built the fabric wing version a couple of years ago, just watch out for the wing to fuselage join as Ron mentioned earlier... Looking forward to seeing this one with the upgrades!
  11. Looking for some advice please, does anybody know if the blue and white RAAF Roundels of late WWII used the same blue as the RAF ones? Secondly, is there a decent colour match available out of the bottle in either Gunze acqueous or Tamiya acrylic?
