Well I just posted this on "another board" as it was applicable to a GB, but I thought you guys might get a kick out of it, although its pretty far off topic....here it goes.

My father crewed and painted this racecar in 1972 when I was 6 years old. This car had an enormous effect on my entire life, my passion for cars and racing.
BTW I still have the original of this photo that I have had since 1972.

I started this model technically when I was probaly about 14, it stayed stashed in my model junk. It went to Florida while I was in the Air Force, and traveled back at my separation from active duty. It survived many many moves, children, and a divorce. It started as a kit bash of the Monogram 55 Chevy body and the Revell 55 Chevy frame and engine. I had trimmed the frame and cut down the body, and thats where it had stalled. About 10 years ago I had a stint of model building so I dug it out. My parents had dug out their Super 8 movies and we played them while I would tape them with a VCR CamCorder. There is footage of me playing in the car in 1972 and before and after my father had painted it as well as some racing footage. Here is the video.

With the new found evidence from the movie footage, I now had enough info to finally finish the model. Here are photos of the model I just took, even though it was completed 10 years ago. Its surviving pretty well. Its all painted by hand.

    Thanks for indulging me.....

Have just now declared the B-25, & the diorama FINISHED! This has not only been a fun build, but the first dio attempt. However, I had to actually force myself not to peek in the box of the next build before this was finished.....(Italeri 35th PT boat w/Lion's Roar up-grade).

It wasn't easy working on only one thing, but the effort was worth it....made good progress, even though only packed away at it a little bit almost every evening.

    Happy modeling,
    Jim

What did they see.... WIP 1/32 21st century BF 109 that will hopefully be semi sunk into a sand base with a bit of water around it and a couple of little kid figures and maybe a dog looking on in awe..

Roughly chopped about, little detail added inside, spray glue as used to stick down carpet with talc over that and painted, then little bit of mig weathering powder.... took about 5 hours so far lol

pics show up some white because I used the flash as took late on, you cannot see it in normal light, but still some tinkering to do...

I was told what it means to be a man.
Normandy, escape from Falaise,no leaders left alive, out of ammo and food but not about to surrender either this 17 year old from HJ takes a short break.
This is a MB figure from the anti tank figgie set. I was inspired by the absolutely brilliant box art and so modified the fig by tilting back the upper torso and straightening out the legs, then adding folds to the knees and bottom of the smock. This is the white putty. I then added a different right arm and hand and carved the detail deeper. The head from Hornet was given a tilt for some"tude". The PE is from Alliance Modelworks and the MG42 from K59. The breadbag is putty with PE and the water bottle is Dragon.
Still a way to go smoothing things out and adding stuff such as MG strap and bipod, etc.

After a little more work and primer you can see the spots that need more work

Who ever does the sculpting at Hornet is a freekin genious as far as I am concerned.

    Hi my Friends,

this build yet the second run, becouse in the first time, I made a fatal mistake: I made a wrong position of the wing and when I want to repair it, the wing and the fuselage was broken. I waight about 3 years and after bought a new kit...
The fuselage and the Aires parts are from the first work. The wing's parts and others yet from the new kit...

So, I started with the Cockpit, like always. I used the Aires cockpit set with Eduard colour panels. Sufficiently precise the pitching with the kit's fuselages.

I know, will be much work with this kit the painting without weathering yet, only the basic.

It's my opinion that 1/32 is to small to represent texture like non-slip. Dead flat paint is about the right scale for non-slip texture in my opinion.

Jim, I did a tutorial on how to post images from Photobucket in General Discussion:

    http://forum.largescaleplanes.com/index.php?showtopic=32062

The process at this end is identical no matter where you host your photos. The tutorial focuses on Photobucket because it's the most commonly used photo hosting site. Photobucket also has the advantage of providing you with ready-made BBCode-compliant forum links that you can just paste directly into the post edit window. With a straight image URL (say, from another photo hosting site), use of the 'insert image' button at this end is required.

Oh no, the tire halves and inboard wheel hub are going to be one piece, so no seams to clean up. That’s just have we have the prototype parts broke down; for our purposes. We do plan to have the outboard wheel hub and brake stack as separate parts though. That should make painting less of a hassle.

Once we have them loaded to our website, we will let you guys know. We're still working out some details, like tire sidewall font. Still in the work up phase right now, but soon.

These are gorgeous and pretty heavy, so they may help the kit sit upright on it's gear, but you will definitely need the white brass set. The only ones I bought are the bombardier area and cockpit. Ordered them Monday and Sprue Brothers exemplary service got them here in two days.
So tell me what photo shop service is easiest to use to post photos in the LSP.

Here is my rendition of the old Revell 1/32 Corsair. This
one has been languishing in the closet for the past 10 years waiting
for me to get enough courage to finish it.

Used the Lone Star Models cockpit and wheels with
    decals by Eagle Edition.

    Cheers,
