  1. My thoughts exactly. That prop is something else. Kev
  2. No idea to be honest. I'll have to look into it. Kev
  3. Very cool work, Alain! I'm also redoing a lot of the cockpit detail, but not as comprehensively as you. I'm happy to say that I've finally finished the front seat, however! Kev
  4. In terms of costs, I'd say it would be. Kev
  5. I replied to your post WiP thread with some detail, Malcolm, but I think Juraj's solution is even better! Kev
  6. In your case, pasting the image link in directly doesn't seem to work for Flickr images. I have no idea why, but there is a workaround: in the bottom right corner of the post edit window, there is a little drop-down menu labelled "Other Media". Click on that, select "Insert image from URL", and paste your direct image link into the field that pops up. I've done the first image in your recent post to test that it does seem to work fine. Kev
  7. I just think it's a cool-looking plane with a bit of what-if mystique about it. Kev
  8. Are you using a desktop device or a mobile device? If the former, just watch out for the little notification that pops up, asking if you want to embed the linked file, or keep it as a link. If you don't see it, and you don't get an image after pressing enter/return, there may be something up with your browser. Kev
  9. Actually, you don't need to do that at all, Ben. Just paste the link directly into the post edit window and hit either enter or return. That's it! Kev
  10. I don't really know, Dave. For me, the stats appear under the first post of every page, not just the initial one. I'll have to check it out on my iPad and see what it's doing (though mine is really old, so possibly not trustworthy). Everything's normal on the desktop, so it could just be an iOS issue. Kev
  11. News is just coming in via Facebook that Bill Koster has just passed away. He was a legend in the industry, creating many of Monogram's pioneering 1/48 scale kits back in the day, before moving on to do his own thing with Koster Aero Enterprises. Vale, Bill. Kev
  12. Fair enough. Safari on iOS is probably trailing the browser pack right now, unfortunately. My guess is that once the cache expires and the cookies are refreshed, it should start behaving normally for you again. Kev
  13. That only happens if you clear your cookies too, which should be available as a separate operation. Just don't do that bit - you only want to clear your cache. Kev
  14. Let me know if you come across any where that doesn't seem to be the case. It's probably worth everybody checking their own threads, to be sure, but I haven't seen any issues so far. Kev
  15. They will all have been converted as part of the upgrade process. Kev
  16. Yes, you did! See my detailed explanation in General Discussion for more information: Kev
  17. Hi Albert, I've fixed your image link, which didn't work because it was using bbCode - this is no longer supported with the new forum upgrade. I've left the original bbCode link in your post so you can see what I'm talking about. Kev
  18. Howdy folks, With the recent upgrade to the forum software now bedded down, one major change that it introduces is worthy of its own announcement and discussion: bbCode is no longer supported. Let me repeat that: bbCode is no longer supported Some of you are probably thinking, what the hell is bbCode, and why should I care? That's a fair question, but most of you will recognise bbCode as the stuff inside the square brackets that occasionally surrounds text for formatting and other purposes. You're not meant to see it, as it's designed
  19. It's working normally for me, so you fellas might have to clear your respective browser caches and report back. Kev
  20. Thanks, Sakai! This is so long ago now - never thought I'd see it dredged up again. I still have this model though, and another one in the stash to build some day. Kev
  21. I will be. I'm just waiting on some Gaspatch units to arrive in the mail. Even stuff I order from only a few suburbs away takes a week or more to get to me now. Kev
  22. This is due to bbCode no longer being supported. I've replied to your thread in LSP Discussion with a more detailed explanation, Marcel. Kev
  23. Hi Marcel, The images are no longer showing because they're using bbCode, which is no longer supported with the latest upgrade to the forum software. All you have to do is paste in the direct links now. To edit the existing ones above so that they work, just remove all the text contained within the square brackets (including the brackets themselves. So, instead of pasting this: [URL=https://imageshack.com/i/pmZaEQsRj][IMG]https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/xq90/922/ZaEQsR.jpg[/IMG][/URL] Just use this instead: https://imagizer.imageshack.
  24. Great work, Ken! I've edited the image links in your post, as they were using bbCode, and with the latest upgrade to the forum software, bbCode is no longer supported. All you have to do from now on is copy/paste the direct image URL, which should look something like so: https://i.postimg.cc/ZK4PSwg8/Avro504-37.jpg Just paste that in and hit enter/return, and your image will display! Kev
  25. The stupid one! I was able to get the basic sloping frame sorted out by using a head-on photo as a template, and manipulating it into the correct perspective. I sized it, printed it out, glued it to some styrene sheet, and then cut it out. The seat itself, though, had me going around in circles for a day or two - I just couldn't get any material to bend into the correct shape. In the end, I discovered that the kit's seat pan fit my frame pretty neatly, so I sawed off the back, glued it into place, and then formed the vertical portions by making a fence with styrene strip. This was then trimmed
