D Bellis got a reaction from Troy Molitor in Heads Up! Mig-29UB on sale for $50
Props for sure. I'll scrutinize the rest in detail once I have both kits in hand.
To elaborate a bit more, I have each of my Revell kits stocked with several sets of wheels, Verlinden cockpits, Quickboost gun barrels and a bunch of other goodies that can be (or were originally supposed to be) used on the Trumpeter kits. All of that will be transferred to the incoming kits.
If you'd rather not scrounge Revell props, Grey Matter has resin replacements for about $15/set:

D Bellis got a reaction from Out2gtcha in 8th AF ace Don Gentile footlocker?
Places like Sporty's Pilot Shop and others have been selling memorabilia items just like that for decades. Anything similar to that would sell for about what it went for, too. While I haven't seen memorabilia footlockers offered for a long time, the current hot ticket along those lines and price range seems to be the metal "Nose Art" wall hangers.

Nothing in the ad implies that it is original or previously owned by anyone specific.

I heard it will be a Gladiator. Then soon after the initial release a Sea Gladiator will follow...

Thanks for the heads up on this. I haven't ordered anything from Squadron in several years (nothing in stock, 'sale prices' higher than normal prices elsewhere, etc.), but just scored two Trumpeter 1/32 P-38 kits for just over $90 shipped.
Now I can strip my Revell P-38 kits of the stuff needed to make the Trumpeter kits right, and then bin the rest of those dinosaurs.

I have put the wings, tail, etc on and tested the centre of gravity. It is definitely forward of the main wheels.

Now that I’ve finished the 190 I’m on to the next project, an Me-262!
I got the Trumpeter kit And a good selection of aftermarket including the CMK cockpit and wheel bays, Eduardo wheels and PE sets, HGW seatbelts and wet transfers, Yahu panel, and of course a Montex mask set.
So far I have assembled the cockpit and gun bay. The CMK kit despite being cheaper doesn’t have as much nice detail as the Aires one and needs a good amount of fettling to fit together. It looks nicer in person than in photos. You can also see some of the stick on weights I used in the forward bay. There will be another 20g behind the gun bay too which seems to be enough to keep it on the nose wheel.
The gun bay is from the kit with some added wiring and some transfers from the HGW set.
So far this is all I’ve done, but I think it should be a faster assembly than the 190. I hope you all like it!

Ooh interesting! It’s not a plane I’m personally into, but always good to see more variation. I hope their Ar 234 comes to fruition. I’m especially hoping for the C-3 variant.

Since 2 years before they formally adopted the name "Snowbirds" in 1971. Although, the Snowbirds were not officially recognized until 1975, and then activated as an actual squadron in 1978, so there are many dates to choose from after white RCAF demonstration Tutors started to be flown in 1969.

The Launch Dolly in the Dragon kit has one Walter 500Kg booster rocket, the Classic book says four. So back to bribery and corruption, I gave Tim the Fly booster parts from the Ar-234 and he came up with this:

Then this - nice 3d printed parts:

I added the nose ring and the transit mounts:

And started drilling the holes that are all over the booster. And realised I'd drilled in the wrong place.

Something like this?

Booster in primer.

And that's it so far. I start painting the He-162 tomorrow, Tim is busy redrawing the boosters on his mega powerful computer.
Hope you like it.

Bruce Crosby (with Wunwinglow, AKA Tim Perry)

These have probably been seen before but I must have missed them, they are a pretty good reference material for the P-39 in general and in Soviet service.
