  1. Wouldn't it be an idea to start a detail tread for all the differences between the various production blocks and pin it when ready, just like treads on the Ju 88 and Heinkel 111?
  2. Thanks Thierry! Another one for the reference library.
  3. Thanks for the review Ian. You are fast!
  4. The 'D' was used in the Dutch East Indies, not the 'B' as I previously stated..now I'm on the fence for the review...😀
  5. Messerschmitt Bf 109A-D...and perhaps they could be bribed to produce a Val or a Kate..
  6. Thanks Ian, looking forward to your review. The 'B' was used by the Dutch air forces, both at home and in the Dutch East Indies as well as flying clubs pre-war.
  7. What is the difference between a 'D' and the 'B' version that will be released later this year?
  8. Riich will be releasing a type 10 this year.
  9. Nice one! Lots of postwar small air forces schemes to choose from. I hope more French subjects will follow.
  10. Hi Torben, I am surprised with the rustic quality of your kit. I have their S. 6 in the stash and it is far more refined: subtle riveting and almost to scale trailling edges. The only thing lacking are the hundreds of recessed rivets pn the wings and horizontal tails. Perhaps another pattern maker? Keep up the good work!

    Revell 2018

According to the last issue of the Dutch IPMS magazine the Super Hornet is due in april and will cost € 79,99.
  12. I did see some test shots last saturday at the European Scale Models event in Houten/Holland. Looked very good. Very fine recessed panel lines. Almost Tamiya-like..
  13. Perhaps John of AIMS knows more. He is the in house Ju 88 expert. He may be selling the drop tanks including the hardpoints Hans
  14. Scalewise the Revell kit is quite good with the exeption of the upper cowlings. It needs droptanks under the wings, rescribing of the panel lines, a new canopy (a vac aftermarket is available from Tasman models I believe the name of the company is). The cockpit is very basic as are the wheel bays. Eduard has (had?) a number of etchsets available for the kit. It is not quite clear to me what the problem with the rudder is. It has the correct shape for a late model G-4. Hans
  15. Looks good from what I can see on my i-phone..A Dutch MK IX out-of-the-box in jungle green is certainly possible...ðŸ˜
  16. It might be easier to convert the Dragon Bf 110D/E nightfighter into a G, using the Revell kit as a donor for the rudder, the nose, radar antennae base and exhausts...
  17. The worst parts of the kit is the upper part of the engine nacelles. Otherwise it is very close to scale. Tasman Model Products from New Zealand has released a vacuformed canopy for the Revell G-4 recently, produced by Falcon of Australia, that will improve the look of the model greatly (product nr. TA 274) and Airwaves (I think it is) has the correct style of main wheels.
  18. Nice...the very same factory here in Sliedrecht that built the Dutch Curtiss Hawks, the Dornier Wal and the Dornier Do 24 is also involved in the production of the F-35...
  19. Very nice sheet, John. Interesting options. Will there be a Ju 88R-1 or R-2 in the future? A merry Christmas Hans
  20. That is perhaps not the correct term. The kit parts form an ellips, whereas the Cox drawing of the Mk. I show a kind of pearshape in that area that transforms into an ellips further aft.
  21. It also lacks the kink just aft of the rear glazing
  22. Thank you Dennis for the link. I missed that one. An epic build indeed. Comparing the Revell/Hasegawa Spit with drawings and photos, the fuselage aft of the windshield appears too tapered, resulting in a notably undernourished rear fuselage, that is lacking 2-2,5 mm in widt.
