  1. Excellent Kit I would love to convert it to a A... somehow Good to see its got the metal L/G Pip
  2. Oh My Goodness - Really! This Model should be exhibited in a Museum somewhere - anywhere! We know who the cherry on the cake is now. Congratulations on this spectacular mod.... no, it isn't a model .. this word diminishes this astonishing creation (in my eyes) ... I think it would be better served by calling it : Scaled Creation Aviation Replica Yardstick ...... Or SCARY for short Pip
  3. Yeah agree, Pre-shading only works if the base lines-detailing is dark grey to black and the final colour top coat paint is light(er) in shade and thinly applied - not the other way around Pip
  4. The AR-234 (C) WWII German 4-engined jet Bomber Reasons ; Easier to produce, as it would be a conversion kit based on a resin kit still available. I think start with conversion kits and then merge into full kits of various subjects Pip
  5. Oooga Booga .... Ooooga Booga.. F-18 L/G ..... F-18 L/G... Oooga Booga! Pip
  6. The RAAF had A's and C's initially ( shown with slim rear gunners cover/hatch and clear front nose and small front wheel ) and last small batch were G's x 20 aircraft ( A28-50>70) but the G's didn't have inspiring nose arts at all as the earlier versions did.. but I'm hanging out for the A-C version for obvious reasons ( NOSE-ART) These earlier marks was shown as a resin clear nose in some convention photos ( maybe a A-C prototype) for later release versions... Pip
  7. Maybe they mistakenly thought the photo was a B-25 .... Pip
  8. All the best wishes for you mate -hoping you conquer Pip
  9. If this is the Quality of the Landing gear you're doing! ..... then I can't wait for the F-18 Landing gear sets! Pip
  10. Hi - my 2 cents worth says its water in your airline. I don't thinks its primer - especially if its smoothly finished to start off with - prior to colour. Does your compressor have an watertrap/filter? if so, then its also possibly humidity in the air - maybe you painted on a very humid/rainy day? Even a very windy day ( hot/dry or cold moist wind) and you are painting in the open and not sheltered - will give you orange-peel. You'll be surprised how much this does effect painting quality - especially water-based acrylics.

  16. Yeah - I am sure there is a lot of F-18 kits out there ... waiting for a decent set of L/G from somebody - including 2 of mine. Pip
  17. Based on discussions at that time - yes Kev
  18. Yeah - That's right Kev : FM Models - I believe Tasman? and is it Kiwi Wings? ( its been so long) anyways, they copied and rescaled my master ( with my permission of course) though- I can't say the same for Alley Cat... Pip p.s Thanks Dave for the kind words...
  19. Hi Derek, I've got a 1/32 Wirraway solid master here and I might be interested in doing a deal for parts swapping and contributions towards your project. Perhaps casting my fuselage / wings? This is only an 'idea' right now... not sure how this would work , but thought I'd throw it out there and see if it sticks... I can supply photos if interested.. Thanks Pip
