DHL is the WORST for that, they always have been. Charging duties that don't apply etc.  I will NEVER use them.

Agree, DHL is the worse. I almost always end of paying double of the amount I paid for the item on fees. And I feel they are phantom fees.

if I see an organization is shipping via DHL, I pass on it. But at times I only find out just before the item arrives.

I bought the A6M2-N Rufe Duo Combo.
I must have something with Eduard’s Zeros. I was about to finish my 4rd when my attention was diverted by the arrival of the new Miniart Junkers F13 floatplane. We’re living exciting times. So many great kits and so little time left before Armageddon :BANGHEAD2:

I was tempted to grab the same, instead I purchased the Midway Wildcats dual combo. I couldn’t pass up one of those deals although my stash doesn’t need any growth.

Just to add to the Sea Fury model thread, I live 20 minutes away from the Fleet Air Arm museum at Yeovilton where there is a Sea Fury. It’s my intention to go and take lots of detail pics of the plane to create a “walk around”, but it won’t be till May at the earliest.

Lucky you, I’m visiting the UK for three weeks in Aug/Sept. I had hoped to make it to the FAA museum but don’t know if I can fit it in our schedule. Two weeks are in London.

    Thanks a lot 😉

I used Mr Hobby C361 and C362 as the base colors but they are heavily nuanced by both AK Real Colors and a little MRP - especially the Green can use some more "yellow" to pop.

My least favorite for the base camo stand-alone colors are probably the MRP paints. They seem too far off for my liking.

Very interesting in regards to MRP. Thanks for all the info and the inspirational builds.

Seeing MOANG Phantoms flying around here used to be a very regular thing, but I don't think I ever saw this one. Nice job.

My RCAF CF-18 squadron used to fly down and fight the MOANG (F-15s) frequently, I recall an F-4 mounted on a stick with the 30 years painted on it. Although I think the original jet with 30 years on it went to Greece.

Not trying to be political, but there is a simple solution to all of this: reciprocal ZERO tariffs. I actually believe that is the current administration's end goal. Foreign commentators and some foreign leaders have discussed this at length, not the ones you normally see on US TV. Trump himself has mentioned this several times referencing fair trade, as opposed to free trade. I don't believe these tariffs will remain long term. My prediction is that they'll largely be gone by the end of the summer. Look at China, whose factory utilization is now at a ten year low. They can't sustain that indefinitely, with the new Chinese middle class desiring the ability to afford cars, homes and all of the accoutrements of modern life. A deal will have to be made. When foreign countries eliminate tariffs on US goods, the USA will do the same - total trade equality. Once that occurs, our ability to easily and cheaply order our favorite hobby kits and supplies will return.  It's just a question of when, and how much economic dislocation will occur in the interim - that's the real elephant in the room, how much pain will there be in the short run.

Again, it isn't my intention to be political. Like Model Monkey, I'm simply offering my assessment. Having said that, I'm also a believer in hedging my bets, so I'm preordering some Kotare kits this evening. Momma didn't raise no dummy!

PS. I have to get back to the Intrepid bridge you printed for me. The Decrepit will sail this summer!

I think worldwide trade was very fair before these tariff wars were started, the world was in very good harmony until this all started.

It would be insane to move all production of everything to the US. Items are imported to subsidize what is sold and made in the US.
