Alain Gadbois
Nice going ! Great choice for the BG, and thanks for that film, just loved it! That pilot is hilarious! I think he's in a hurry to land close to the nearest toilet! With all that nice photoetch, you could use a better figure. I'm thinking of a Hase Bf 109 pilot. About the same look as soviet pilot of the times. Alain Note: I just checked the film with more attention and those pilots appear to wear Luftwaffe summer helmets! Shawn M
I thought so too Alain, they are straight outta MIG-3 or BF-109s! But I decided to hack up a pilot. While not "perfect", he'll do. Start by disarming him then using some 1/32 ANCIENT Hasegawa Zero Pilot arms (dude MUST have been the hulk on the side), I chopped, filed and sanded till the fit. Including his left hand being removed to be at a better angle. I still need to carve more detail in, add belts, etc but this is a much better base to work from. Shawn M
while putting away my assortment of limbs and figures, I found a MUCH better right arm and replaced it with that,

Out2gtcha
Very nice start!! Its a cool looking scheme for sure. It just sounds so funny with the red and blue in the same title. Good luck on this one, I foiled mine, but in the end it was probably one of the worst fitting kits I have ever put together. Im not sure if you have a plan for the canopy/windscreen, but IIRC, its pretty off in the Trumpy kit. I also seem to recall a vac canopy made..............maybe by Squadron? Anyway, good luck and looking forward to more progress! Shawn M
Shawn M
Thanks Brian! Yes the canopy is all whacaka-do, I have the Squadron Vac for it. From what I can see, the wing to fuse fit is going to be.....unique..... Out2gtcha
Out2gtcha
From what I can see, the wing to fuse fit is going to be.....unique..... It is. Just look out for the wing to fuse joint at the front/leading edge wing root. Its a tough spot on the Trumpy Mig-15, and you can easily sand down that area way too far (ask me how I know!) Shawn M
yeah, he makes the old Revell Pilots look good doesn't he. At least with the new arms he's passable.

Shawn M
pilot completed For the inflight support, I cut the tail of the jet pipe off, added a bulkhead drill for a dowl and rod, then reattached. Getting it in the right centered position was critical to ensure the tailpipe was in the right spot and on the centerline of the airframe. mig'on a stick sandokan, TorbenD, KiwiZac and 2 others
