Uncarina
This would be a great way to finish the Tamiya -1D Corsair: (photo shown for reference only). Would just need some masks... LSP_Ray
I seem to recall some decals for the Soccer War, but they may have been in 1/48th. Masks would be pretty easy to create, though. Out2gtcha and Uncarina
Alburymodeler
It would complete my wants list, some South/Central American Corsairs and Mustangs. Uncarina and imatt88
dodgem37
HobbyCraft -D has the decals. Sincerely, Mark Alburymodeler and Uncarina
Alburymodeler
But then you end up with another Trumpeter kit. I went to a lot of trouble to sell mine off. But if anyone has decals to spare I would be interested for sure. Greg

imatt88
Aztec made a whole sheet of markings for Soccer War Corsairs, but the were all 1/48th I would love to see those markings in 32nd scale Uncarina and Alburymodeler
imatt88
What are the major issues with the Hobbycraft/Trumpy Corsair, or should I not ask? What kit would be a suitable replacement for it?

LSP_Ray
What are the major issues with the Hobbycraft/Trumpy Corsair, or should I not ask? What kit would be a suitable replacement for it? Get the Tamiya kit. Trumpeter has problems with some engine details, cowl tapers instead of having cylindrical shape, weird spaces between the cowl cooling flaps, cockpit simplified, problems with shape and details at exhaust openings and surrounding details, wings have multiple problems including dodgy hinged flaps, bad shapes to wheel well doors, well detail, and poorly done fabric texture on outer wing panels. That is off the top of my head. I am sure there is more, but I start babbling after getting that far...

Buy a really good jack knife and 2 two foot long 2x4's and start whittling now, and you'd be miles ahead of the Trump Corsair. Trust me, I've tried to fix it.
