I had a photo of an Eglin ADTC F-4D with the long 5-Band '131 with RAT on the forward section. I guess they made a few but it was effective only above 140 kt minimum on faster movers, with a drag penalty. I do wonder if Israel got any for use on the RF-4E centreline. A bit of a mystery. phasephantomphixer Posted June 2, 2023 Share Posted June 2, 2023 Nice finds, toughest to find info. on are the two pods carried by the N/AW-A-10 FLIR and IR. One was Texas Instruments, and Westinghouse IIRC. The photos were always in shadow. Someone said the A-4 carried one, but not found much further. Would like to find photos dismounted, or dimensions.
