I think the only container the British have made that doesn’t leak is the pint beer glass. At least they have their priorities straight! :D

Ah those lovely old Rovers. Thanks for the pics and good sense Michael.

 

My dad said oil dripping British motors, two and four wheels, were a legacy of steam engineering, because loose was better than tight. Was he right?

 

Marina? Somewhere to play pontoon on a rainy day...

I believe Alan Turing's revolutionary valve and electro-mechanical code-breaking machines did use a modicum of lube.

 

Interested in the tank story. Thank the stars for Hobart's Funnies which provided essential support to the troops.
