Thomas Lund
Is the selection as poor as my searches seem to show? I'd like a cockpit, either photoetch upgrade or resin replacement. Also a super nice BMW801 would be good... well basically anything
DonH
Have you tried Airscale? LSP_K2 and coogrfan
coogrfan
Grey Matter Figures produced Jerry Rutman's cockpit, wheel wells and landing gear for this kit. Unfortunately they just recently announced they are going out of business. Thomas Lund

Pete Roberts
Sadly a lot of the 1/24 scale kits (especially Airfix) have missed out on after market, even simply photo etch, especially by comparison to 1/32 scale.
Bob MDC
The hard fact is that 1/24th aftermarket is not a big seller, we did a range of seat belts for British,American and German WW2 and have only had to re-order the the British sets (thanks to the Airfix Mosquito) since we had our original stock in. But there is an option to scan and reprint using 3D technology but that's not cheap. The new structured light scanning looks good. https://zealotminiatures.com/3d-scan/ Bob coogrfan and Pete Roberts 1
John Stambaugh
From a modelers perspective and indeed to my thinking, the larger the scale, the greater the need for more detail. It has long been a frustration that 1/24 scale has been so underserved by the aftermarket. Having said that it occurs to me that I should pull out one of my 1/24 stash and bone up on some old fashioned scratch skills. Indeed the old Airfix Fw190 would be an apt palette. I have built and detailed the old Spitfire 1, and am doing a second, just for fun. There’s also the Wallis autogiro “Little Nellie”, which fits nicely in this forum.
